Hello! Happy 2nd Sunday in Advent to you. I DID get a little verve yesterday afternoon and proceeded to stab these two oranges with a skinny knitting needle so I could add the cloves. They smell YUMMY! Oh and by the way, no I did not knit my snowflake jumper. I bought it years ago at J. Crew.
It's the 9th so I read Isaiah 9. Perfect.
This morning, I ironed linens and set about decorating two surfaces.
I moved the toadstools under the skinny tree where they belong (ahem).
Here's my Chatty Cathy (a gift from my sister). She has a pull string and she talks.
The Nativities are on the big island in the living room (we used to have this huge island in the kitchen but it prevented us from MOVING around in there! LOL!)
And here is my pixie friend, Butterhorn. She is Danish, you know. I love her even though my family makes fun of her.
And now it can snow . . .
Thank you for popping by! I'm sure you're a little overdone by all this blogging, but it's only December 9, I might remind us.
Oh well! Spread the JOY! Spread your special kind of festive cheer!

I had a Chatty Cathy also. My mother was always fixing her. My dad joked that she should have said, "Fix me. I'm broke!" :)
We used to make the lovely scented pomanders with orages and cloves. They last for years.
Oh dear Pom Pom, it's always a joy to visit here. I'm way behind in my visiting...yikes! Hope your week is Merry and Bright!
Everything looks so lovely and I think Butterhorn is adorable, the perfect touch! Enjoy the rest of your week!
Blessings,
Jill
I'm glad you cherish Butterhorn even if your family thinks it's funny.
Your Amaryllis is absolutely gorgeous!
I love your Nativities. I have some tiny ones that I will post pictures of soon.

It's lovely to come here every day. I shall miss it dreadfully when Advent is done.
I remember a child telling me her name was joy and that the letters stood for Jesus, others, yourself, i felt terribly jealous that she had such a special name, but i have always remembered what she had said and often reminded myself of these priorities if i start getting a bit selfish.
P.s. it was the title of your post that made me comment!
My sister had a Chatty Cathy! Your home looks so festive and inviting. I love all your nativities.
Not done at all. 😊 I get a kick out of seeing what you are up on a daily basis. Nice decorations and I can almost smell those pomanders. :) Kit
I love that last blue ornament - pretty shape! No, I'm not at all tired of all the Christmas posting. It's making my ponder much, and it's encouraging me not to let the season whisk by with out savoring it. And I get to hear from you every day, my friend, which is a true pleasure.
I like Butterhorn.
Love.
Pompom, I see a lot of passion for what surrounds you in your post and it's a pleasure to come visit.
Happy Advent blogging.
Hugs, Julia
We have our first snow in Spokane!
