School Dress?

Hello Royal Nice People! Thank you so very much for all your kind comments on my school shoes post. I made it through the day, and through Weight Watchers (gained a quarter of a pound - drat) and now I am home talking to YOU. How do I look? Do you think I'll manage to teach school for nine months?
I wanted to show you what I'm wearing on the first day of school. What do you think? Do you think the kids will like me if I wear this dress?
Isn't it funny?

This first day back at work was very encouraging. Thank you for your prayers and wishes. I'm feeling peaceful and surprisingly inspired. Whew.
I hope you are feeling surprisingly inspired, too. I know that because I am blessed by the sweet connection I have with you, that you undoubtedly go about your day blessing a lot of people. That's just the way you are. Relationships are a privilege and they require nurturing and diligence. I continue to learn this and I'm so thankful that grace is extravagantly extended to me. I learn so much every day. Every day. Thank you so much for checking in. I love it when you do!

How well I remember the first day back in the classroom, time to reconnect with the children and welcome the new ones, making sure they fit in.
Love the dress!

I love that dress, and think it will lok particularly fetching with your new shoes! Very 'you'. Be sure to get a photo to let us all see how gorgeous you looked for those lucky kids. Helen x

I love this dress, and if you promise to wear it, I will knit you a sock monkey to carry around all day (but only if you also promise to pretend like the sock monkey is whispering secrets in your ear).

Pom, you're so funny! Love your picture today -- looks like you feel exactly the way I did those first days (and all the rest ;-) of the school year. You're a brave girl!
Blessings,
G
P.S. Thanks so much for the lipstick comment. It's 'Ruby' by Bobbi Brown -- my fav.

I agree with Helen that the dress and shoes go nicely together, but maybe for a primary teacher, not 8th grade...?

While I am a SockMonkey Fan...that dress is way to Formal for School! Save it for the Valentine Dance! On Valentines I always wore a Shirt with BIG Lips all over it...wish I'd taken a Pic...It cracked up the JrHighers.
PS..If you ever need zippers...

What a fun photo of you on your first day too! I hope you didn't feel too frazzled :0).

What a lovely and beautiful dress. I think anyone would be better off for seeing someone in a sock monkey dress.

Oh Pom Pom you go back to school earlier over there. We still have another week and a half of summer before the children go back to school here ...

Yes, I love the dress, did you actually wear it? I would love to know what the children mad of it? lol :o)

Hope you are successful at weight watchers. It's a very personal thing. I hope you meet your own goals

Sending love and a big hug x
