End of October Anticipation

(Here are those two big pumpkins that grew in our garden!  All carved!)
Yay for the end of October and tomorrow's festivities!  I finished my gypsy skirt and now I need to buy purple eye shadow at the grocery store.  More candy must be purchased as well.
Woo hoo!  Look at the cutie pies from Ft. Collins.  It'll be a Pokeman Halloween festival for them!
Our refrigerator is crooked.  I think a wheel is broken but Jeff (and James) tried to fix it.  So cute!
Remember the way that toddlers use anything for a step stool?
I downloaded my two favorite magazines (Christmas!) and in British Country Living I found this article.  Sweet, right?  Pet Christmas service in Truro!

Maybe I'll take my dog to church on Christmas.

I made a birthday cake for our Jenny.  Carrot.  The cake tastes good but the Bundt plan was not super "Great British Baking Show" worthy.  I watched the first season and LOVED it SO MUCH!  Anywho, this collage shows my gypsy skirt AND the sunbeam that was shining in the back yard that day.  Aw, the good life.

And soon our November will be upon us.  I am so appreciative of the gracious vision that comes upon me, the vision for our family dinner and the hope and glory of Christmas.  I saw a cute and funny tree at Costco that looks like a cross between a "Who" tree and a Charlie Brown tree and Bill said, "Let's get it!" so I might venture to Costco and buy it today.  Wait, it's already 9 am.  Ack!
I'll be back to share photos of the trick or treaters AND the gypsy!  (BIG HARVEST SMOOCH!)

Have the best time tomorrow, it sounds so fun. We don't get trick or treater's living so far from others, but I remember when my babies were younger and we would take them to 'town' to enjoy the night.

PS- hope you get the tree, it sounds perfect!

Hey, I'm sugar from At Rivercrest Cottage and I'm your newest follower...number 202. I saw your blog on Henny Penny's list and had to check it out. Just wanted to say how much I appreciate the life choice you made to raise all the little ones. So many young people are forgoing children, it had me worrying. Seeing your sweet little ones encourages me that we will have a bright future.

I think it is all wonderful!! I like your skirt. I also like your pie!! Me and pie right now are in serious business. The cans of pumpkin keep calling my name.
I love that picture of James on his tummy helping Dad. That is so cute. Your other grands are cute as Pokemons.
I am so glad you got to carve pumpkins from your own garden. That is so fun.
I do hope you get that tree. I like trees like that.
Have a fantastic evening with all of your family, today and tonight.
What else are you doing today?

Did you every watch the British show The Vicar of Dibley? There is an episode where they bring all the pets to church.

James is getting to be quite the little fix-it man. At that stage we usually convinced ours that holding the flashlight was a VERY important job. Your pumpkin pie looks so perfect. It's strange because we're 3 weeks past our Canadian Thanksgiving with all the usual foods but for you in the U.S. that is still weeks in the future. My family would think it weird if I made a pumpkin pie now.

I just love that picture of James helping with the refrigerator. We live so far back in the country, no trick or treaters ever knock at our door. I miss that on Halloween. Looking forward to seeing your pictures.

What a sweet post. I love the socks in the collage, too. I have seen kids balancing on things that make me catch my breath-fearing if I breathe they will fall and get injured. lol

Love the "fridge fixers" and your pie looks wonderful. Happy Friday, Karen! xo Diana

What fun memories you're making over at your house. Love the pumpkins! Is that a Minion? CUTE!!

Your bundt cake turned out like mine always did. When my daughter lived at home, I always entrusted her with de-panning the bundt cakes and she always could do it. I, on the other hand, always had a catastrophe cake! Mine were never Great British Baking Show worthy either. (we must be twins!)

Wishing you great fun this Halloween! Our grandies are getting all prepared for the fun too.

It's never too early to train the son how to straighten a fridge, Right? lol... Just so cute and to think that you got a precious picture of it for posterity.

Have fun at Halloween as I know you will be right there where the fun is. Happy Halloween to you and your precious ones.
Hugs,
JB

Can you buy an online version of just one month of UK Country Living? I need to check into this, because there is no way I can get the paper copy from local bookstore in time.
