Hoot! Hoot! You're Cute!

Woot!  Woot!  You're cute!  Owls.  Don't we love them?  Remember the Ramona Quimby book in which the class makes paper bag owls?  You could do that, you know.

August is so flowery here.

After a joyful Slip'n Slide time in the backyard yesterday, Miss Bug and Millie Rose made pie.
And someone is frying sausages in the Wendy house.  I shall fry some sausages today.  I had a delicious sausage roll in New Zealand.  YUM!  Now I must eat more sausages.
The wild sweet peas are beginning their bloom!  Yay!
I have a new caring book.  It's good so far.
Today I am going to get my toes painted (and pampered) because in the summer it is very difficult to wear shoes.  Hot.  I think I shall shop for a new purse, too.  I need a shoulder strap for speedy airport walking.  When I arrive in Seattle, I have a short time to scurry to my shuttle bus.  I hope I make it.

We had a wonderful time last night gathered around our dining room table.  It was our family girl time.  We miss our April and wish she lived closer so she could come.  First we colored (they were thrilled with the packages of markers I bought them).  Next, we did a responsive reading from Psalm 139.  We enjoyed a Dairy Queen ice cream cake.  We listened to praise music, we colored more, we talked about how to love our Bible more and find Jesus in its pages.  We shared our prayer requests, our joys, and what we're learning.  We closed in prayer and Kelli, Jenny, and Christie went home.  It was so life-giving.  I slept like a baby.
Tomorrow I shall see my dear mama.  YAY!  She has a snazzy Mac computer, so all I need is my camera and my camera cord.  Woot!  Woot!  You'll LOVE the lovely valley scenes!

Take care, sweet soul.  You really are a precious being, so YOU and so spunky.

Thank you for popping by to say hello.

I really like the look of that book, but I already have far too many lined up. Maybe one for the future.

Your prayer time sounded wonderful and beautiful and fun all at the same time.

Have a great time with your mum. xx

Your girl time sounds like such a treat! Your garden is lovely! Still planning to do the sunflower/morning glory combo some year. :)
I ordered some new paints and am just beginning to plan a little something for my art buddy. (That would be you!) Don't hold your breath. These things can take a while. But it's the thought that counts...right? :D
You're having so much fun this summer. Keep up the good work!

Your owl is a cutie. Owls were the first thing I ever collected as a young girl. It makes me smile that they are so popular once again.
Love your colorful flowers and the pretty cake ;).
Have a wonderful visit with your mom.

I so wish my mom was still with us as I used to go visit her for a week the first week of August every year. She died in 2009 and she was the best mom anyone could ever have. It's so good that you can visit yours.

Your flowers are so colorful and must bring you much joy. Enjoy your visit.
Hugs,
JB

Oh I love your girl time!!!!! Too bad you aren't close enough for me to send Laura!! She would love it. My morning glories, which seem to have seeded themselves, have taken over one quarter of the garden and are thicker than the handle of the shovel. Craziness.

Sounds like happy times!! Your flowers are perky -- glad it's wet enough there for them this time of year. Have wonderful hours with your mommy. That's so important! Safe travels -

I love your "girltime" idea. I should do that with my girls who live right next door. Are all the kiddies buzzing around you as you have your Bible time together? Or do they stay with the daddies?

I love reading "The Lady With The Alligator Purse."

Have fun getting your toes painted and finding that purse strap. I'm a crossbody purse carrier now. I love having my hands free to do whatever needs doing, plus I sometimes forget to pick up my purse so it helps for that too.

Hello to dear Mom!
