Breakfast for Early Birds

We slept in the basement and Granny was too warm all night long (temperature adjustment problems here!) We listened to Winnie the Pooh as we dozed off.  Don't you love Winnie the Pooh's tales?  Oh, I DO hope you have a Hundred Acre Wood of your own.  The sleepyheads woke up way too early.

When is the last time you breakfasted on the sofa?  Life is good.
I found a package of lovely shoes at the discount store.  You like?

I'm still trying to figure out how to straighten the fairy cake stand.  Fairies all around!

Remember when I said this is the summer of knitting and poetry?  Yes!  Do you like my stripes?
I finally moved the dolly dishes downstairs and placed them on this candle wax stained shelf.  Wait one moment.  I'll go put the kettle on.
News flash:  I got my ponytail cut off yesterday.   The nice hairdresser gave me a short haircut and it feels right.  I might show you some photos if I can get it right with the "products" and the round brush blow drying.  We'll see.
Tomorrow Samantha Rose will join us for the day.  I love babies but I REALLY love preschoolers.  Don't you?  They are such softies.
After the girls go home, I'm going to putter around the house and stop to do quiet things.  I like my moments of stillness.
Would you like a powdered doughnut with your tea?
(BIG HUG!)

Yes, please! I'll take a donut of any kind, thank you :) The strawberries look good too. You're such a GOOD granny. I know in the back of your mind is the upcoming start of school. When is it? I hope you will fully enjoy every moment of the rest of your sweet summer. One last question: Will you be my grandma? :)

Your grands are such lucky-duckies! I love the angel flying across your wall above the lovely teacups! Your knitting is SPECTACULAR! Glad you've had time to indulge. Looking forward to seeing the new "do". I shy away from short hair partly because I don't want to learn how to use the "product" and blowdryer! I just like to braid and go!
Have a beautiful day, Pom!

I totally love that painting above your shelf with the dishes!! Did you do that? It is wonderful, I would put it above my bed in my bedroom. I love the wooden sunflower.
Yes, I guess I do have my hundred acre wood. I will have to post one of my son's old maps he did when he was small and loved Pooh so much. I need to frame it.
I hope you have a lovely day. I love your sleepy little girls and the yummy breakfast they had.
Isn't it nice to be this age? Full of life.
I have a million things to go get done today I would love a day of quiet. Maybe if I get done soon enough.
I will be thinking of you. I love your knitted stripes.

What cutie pies! Some of my favorite pictures of my children are when they first wake up. I like a powdered donut and I like the chocolate waxy ones, too. Sad, but true.

Strawberries and donuts, yum. Can't wait to see your new hairstyle. Mine is long now and I just put my head down and blow dry sort of upside down with my fingers and it;s done - nice and easy! I got my dates wrong for our weekend away - we were just getting in the car when I found the booking was 2 days later!!! so we have unexpected family time today/tomorrow = quality time with nothing planned - I think that's good. I am reading a book on Kindle and enjoying sitting in the garden. Ironing is all done - I get a walk with a stray from the kennels tomorrow - unplanned is best. Enjoy your weekend. Betty x

Thank you for the sweet and detailed comments, friends! I want you to know that I hesitated in putting the word verification back on because I KNOW it's a pain. However, I am getting so many ads/robot comments on past posts that I'm tired of them junking up my email inbox. Thank you for tolerating!

Hello Pom Pom on the mend....do hope that you're starting to feel really better soon. Takes a while sometimes doesn't it. Don't forget to nap : ) I do like the look of your strawberry cucumber salad with the pomegranate dressing yum! I love the photo of your nice boys..& I have just spotted your fairy picture holding the star on the wall. My best friend & I always give each other cards with that same picture on them whenever we find them...so sweet. I imagine you feel a little cooler without the extra hair length. Are your temperature regulation problems a bit like my can't seem to stay asleep ones ; )
Much love to you dear Toadstool lover x0x0x

love the idea of breakfast in bed but the dogs would eat more than their fair share.
I like a glass of milk and a banana for a quick breakfast.
