Soup in a Blue Mug

Hi Everybody!  My computer is fizzling out, so I have to hold it funny in order to see the screen.  Dash.  I'm hoping Bill will go computer shopping for me.  Anywho!  I had the nicest tomato soup for breakfast.  It was creamy and warm, perfect with Parmesan cheese on top.  My apple tasted like an apple blossom.  God makes amazing goodies, doesn't He?
This is my first day of summer! I sorted colors this morning.  That was fun!
Here's a poem idea for you.  I am going to complete this exercise in my sketchbook.  I bought some new fountain pens.  Do you like writing with a fountain pen?

Just so you know, there are gnomes IN the house and in the garden.  I am taking a break from gnome buying and all buying actually (except for the new computer, right?)

 My rabbit visited this morning.
Chicken is baking in the oven, smelling delicious!  Bill and I are going to enjoy some crisp watermelon, too.  Summer food!  Oh, it feels SO GOOD to be home!  (BIG HUG!)

Ahhhh! Summer is here for you! The first day - it's like slipping down into a warm tub of bubbly water, or sliding into fresh sheets when you're really tired and ready for bed. Or that first sip of warm, milky tea in the morning. So happy for you! I really like that first poetry prompt your posted. I may need to ruminate on that one, and see what I come up with! I haven't written any poetry in months, so maybe it's about time.

Oooh I LOVE writing with my fountain pen, and colouring pictures with my rainbow array of crayons.
But summer???? here in England it continues to POUR with rain. All here is damp and the sky is grey.
But three cheers for my beloved, who is cooking kippers for breakfast [do you HAVE kippers in the USA??] Fish for breakfast is a good thing- brain food for a busy day ahead

summer blessings PP!

Oh I can see you are going to be so busy and it's going to be fun seeing what you do. The gnomes are taking over! I have seen a couple in the pound store and am tempted. I remember 'scripture' lessons as a child - religious education which was always written with a pen and ink, the little white china inkwell was set into my desk and the desk had a lid you could make a lot of noise with. I went to a museum a while ago (Imperial War Museum) and was surprised to see a desk like mine! I must be an antique! Anyway, have fun with your poetry, I have no comprehension of it so will find it interesting. Betty x

When I went to close out the 'you have unsaved changes' reminder popped up. I'm telling you this just in case my comment didn't make it. I tried! Of course, I could just comment again but then my original comment may appear and I would seem redundant. How embarrassing. ;)

I've never had tomato soup for breakfast but it sounds lovely. Anytime is a good time for tomato soup. Can't wait to hear your poem and see what you draw next. I love your new-ish blog design.

Summer hols for us at the end of this month! Do you feel ready for yours? I must admit we don't, although everyone is tired/ill enough, certainly!

I have the most lovely piece of writing by one of my pupils on my blog today. I thought of you when I wrote it - I felt that you would really appreciate his work, if you have time to pop over and see it.

Yaaaaaayyyy!! Your colored pencils just radiate an anticipation of fun, all summer long!
The poetry starter sounds tricky! (But I'm not much of a poet.)
God does create very lucious treats, and he's given you the gift of describing them in such a way that we apprecite them even more!
I'm off to work. Have lots of fun FOR ME!
I sat out in the sun with hubby and Audrey this morning and admired the garden (just emerging)and let her enjoy all the sights.
Hope you enjoy every smidgen of your time at home!

HAPPY SUMMER! I often have spinach-and-egg soup for breakfast. Today I made a big panful of zucchini, red pepper and garlic stir-fry, then I used part of it to mix in my scrambled egg.
Just seeing your colored pencils made me want to get mine out and so something with them -- now that would be different!
