I've already tried this one, too. My web walker is black and she has a stiffer gown. It's fun to draw when there is absolutely no pressure to produce something "wow!" and I feel happy when I am outlining and coloring in. Bill is home. Whew! He is all settled in and now I am going to go down to my Pom Pom studio (aka the room full of MY stuff) and do a bit more drawing and coloring in. I love looking at my books, creative materials, and other little pretties. I have two things I found at the antique mall that I will show you as soon as I photograph them. They are VERY sweet. What do you draw? |

Draw? Are you kidding. Draw? Can't sing either, nor can I dance. I think I can take fair pictures and sometimes I can write a decent poem--at least one that I like. I envy those who can draw. I look forward to seeing your art.
Lovely things to draw! I don't draw very much. The idea that I have for a drawing is always much bigger than my ability to draw and I fall back to the easier medium of words. I love you!
I scribble all the time when I am at work on the phones as my hands get bored - just scribbly flowers though. I like scribbling in book margins since I discovered you do it!
Well, Pom, you have forced me to consider. I have some untrained artistic genes that I don't use. I find painting (esp. watercolor) very relaxing. One of the most pleasurable things I do, but only about once or twice a year ,and then only little things. And I never doodle. You make it sound so appealing. I'm sure I could try, if I wanted to.
Please, please post pictures of what you look at, and then of your renditions of them!!! I'd really love to see the "original" and then what your mind does with it in turn. That would be a fun study. You post plenty of pics of others' art, but not enough of your own. :)
I can't wait to see your drawing!
yes, i agree, i want to see your reditions~! one of the things the sketching/drawing books suggest is that you choose art that you like and draw your own versions . . . so you've got it just right.
i bet the drawings you do are full of Pom Pom whimsy and love.
i really like to draw but in the recent past have not taken time to do it much. i should dig out some of my old (from high school) drawings and take another look . . . AND i should draw a lot more . . . just because it makes me happy.
seeing your grands in the previous post made me smile. they are all so cute and look so happy. i don't know how you keep up with all of their busyness though~!!~

I'm looking forward to your drawings. I've seen some of them and always love them. I think you should draw some pictures for your grandkiddos. Maybe an illustrated story or a journal or pictures for their walls. Cards are nice too.
I used to draw every week in a nature journal. I pick it up once in awhile now. So many things I have left behind. I might pick them up again one day.

I can't wait to see art a la Pom Pom!
I do enjoy drawing but I'm not as talented as others in my family. That can be a bit intimidating! I enjoy drawing from nature and need to make more time for it! Thanks for the encouragement...
Blessings, Debbie
WHat a great idea. I'd love to see some of your finished pictures. Unfortunately for me, drawing is not one of my strengths, but I do so admire those who are good at it.
I love your Pom Pom drawings! They are part of what make you YOU! Drawing is something I haven't tried much and my doodling is very random and repetitive -- not at all a work of art like yours.
Blessings!
Deborah
I can't wait to see your Little Women piece. I have four daughters; fitting since Little Women is my all time favorite book. Can't tell you how many doezens of times of read it. Your blog is beautiful. I can't stop reading it.
You're so talented, Karen. I need to doodle more. If I did, I think I'd be a better drawer in general. Keep the drawings coming! We all love to see them.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of these in person! Glad you're having fun with this little project; so am I! I wish I had the courage to draw people. So far I've avoided doing that. So I guess that's the next fear I have to tackle. Thanks for your encouragement, Pom-Pom. You're a peach!
I love the web walker! What a great idea to send each other your pictures.
