More yarn. I shall learn to ripple. I have a new hook. I will. I will. If I can't get it, Tina will fly over from Scotland and help me, I think.
More stickers. I love stickers. I am going to save up some pocket money for wall stickers. I found two tulips and a huge bossy-looking sunflower at the craft store yesterday.
And I've been singing. These old Young Life song books are tucked between books in book shelves all over our house. We used to hand them to teenagers so many years ago. Bill would play his banjo to accompany them (we couldn't afford a guitar, that came later) and they'd sing sweetly, even though my singing voice is less than melodious. I have been leafing through the Psalms and remembering all the songs that have been in my heart for over thirty years.
I'm off to the yarn store (it was closed yesterday) for a last soft skein of wool for my shawl. It's almost finished and a new Hazel disk came yesterday. It's going to be over 100 degrees today. Lots of lemonade and ice cream are in order. I'd like to stop summer right now. Pause her a bit. She's so pretty.

I enjoy looking at your lilies because almost all the new bulbs I planted got munched away by snails :-( while I was not being constantly willing....
but my tiger lily is going to bloom soon!
Hooray! You're going to be rippling with rainbow colours!! Pom Pom, if I could fly over to see you I surely would! What fun we could have together! :) xxx
Sam looks like she's smiling while she's sleeping. Cute! Lemonade sounds perfect! The kids are getting excited for their sleepover at Granny's!

Samantha looks like she has her grandma's beautiful eyes! What a fun photo of the two of you! I wish we could visit over coffee or tea together. I know we would have no end of things we would talk about.
Blessings to you Dear One!

I was thinking Sam look like you, too. You are both have such pretty coloring.
What blend of yarn do you like best? Do you buy from a specialized store? I am only just now learning about such things. I love the colors you have picked.
And I agree about pausing summer. I don't want it to end.
Hugs from Texas,
Leslie
I used to have a yard full of lilies. They were such a treat! And I've always wanted sweet peas. Next year.
Thanks for the inspiring pictures and your inspiring self.

Hello, dear friend,
Your garden is bursting with beauty. I have often pondered if I could only have a few flowers in my garden, which would I choose? Roses, of course, but a close second would be day lilies. Love their bright and happy colors. I see a resemblance between you and your Sam. She is a cutie pie!! Aren't our grandchildren wonderful? Enjoy your summer and get completely refreshed. Your teacher's heart needs it. Sending love and hugs to you~ Vicki
I adore lilies....my favorite. Beautiful wee Sam ~ what a sweet heart. xx
Wow, is that Sam? She is so big. Time is flying, isn't it? She looks like she LIKES her grammy, though. And she looks CONTENT.
LOVE to you!
