Hello! I'm blogging from school today (I've never done it before because I like to blog from my green chair, early in the morning. Today was too rushed and I'll be here all day because we have parent/teacher conferences until tonight). Look at the lovely scenery the sixth graders made for their play!
The art teacher and some of her students painted quotes all over our school. Fancy, huh?
Yeep! One more week until my mama comes for THANKSGIVING! I'm THRILLED! I can't wait! This weekend will hold vacuuming, scrubbing, decluttering and shopping, all with a heart brimming with joy, because MY MAMA IS COMING TO MY HOUSE!
It's my planning time right now so my classroom is empty, music is playing, the fan is blowing air on me (stuffy!) and there is brightness all around. YAY!
Back to the pile of grading.
Thank you for stopping in! (HUGE HUG!)

such cute artwork!
Hugs back💓
Have fun when you mom comes for a visit. I cannot remember the last time my mother ever came for a thanksgiving dinner at my house or even ate at my home. She has been dead now for over 10 years. Guess we weren't close. Oh well, water under the bridge and we all have some kind of cross to bear.
Hugs to you, too!
So sweet that you will have your Mama with you for Thanksgiving...such a blessing!
Have a lovely day!
So delighted for you that your mama is coming, and that it has inspired you to nest and primp your home in preparation - I imagine her room will have pink covers and beatrix potter, wind in the willows and anne of green gables on the book shelf? Betty
Oh the grading mountain- happy hiking, sweet teacher! I will confess to shedding a tear at the thought of mummies coming to their daughters' homes. So special, especially for your mum and for you this year. Do you know that the Ghandi quote is Bombardier's adopted motto- Prince Charming's company. We have it on a mug. Come sip tea from it!
I absolutely LOVED having a glimpse of your life at school. It was always my dream (still kind of is) to be a schoolteacher. I love that you included sights, sounds...even the bit of stuffiness. :)
And also ---
have so much fun with your mama! Nothing quite like a girl's mama to encourage the heart.
How lovely! I like noseying at other people's displays! And how lovely to have your Mama coming- you sound so excited about it!!!x
I am so glad you had time to sit and blog before your long night. Yay!! I am glad your Mom is coming for Thanksgiving. You will have such a nice time. How goes it at home?
I am so glad today is Thursday and Friday is just around the corner.
I always enjoy your posts. It is nice to see what you are doing today. Have a wonderful evening.
Love the sixth graders' painting and your drawing!!
Have fun with your mama!! :D
How lovely that you will have your mom with you for Thanksgiving. I haven't had my mom and dad here for several years since they started spending their winters in Florida. I love your quote "Be the change...". A very dear friend and colleague used to say that all the time to our students. He passed away two years ago, but he (and his favorite quote) are always in my heart.
LONG day, dear Pom, but I know you'll look on the cheery side and make the best of it! I'm so glad you mama is coming to you for Thanksgiving. You will make her feel warm and happy and thankful, I know.
Fabulous quote on your school wall. :) Enjoy your Mama's visit! xxx
I hope your l-o-n-g day is bearable and you have time to rest at the end.
Yay! for mamas coming to visit (I don't know if mine will ever come out here again. Sad face) Enjoy the preparations for her visit too (even the scrubbing!) for it is done with love for her. God bless, dearest Pompom.
I'm so glad about your mama coming! That will be a thanksgiving Thanksgiving for sure!
