Smelling the Holidays

This bag of cones (5 dollars at the grocery store!) is making our house smell Christmasy!
And two little angels are offering their hearts!
I'm hanging on to the tulip brightness.  When the stems droop, the blooms go in a shorter container.  Aren't they still so full of sunshine?
It's back to class for me today.  My bags are loaded and I just need to pack my lunch.
But first . . . we'll have coffee.  I'll miss my patient because I love being home with him. He's doing well, resting and walking.  Healing.
I hope your day holds encouragement and opportunities to encourage others.  Good people go the extra mile, giving time and attention to fellow travelers.  Here's to golden opportunities!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Drop in visits are best!

Fellow travelers -- I really like that image of all of us. We're all walking along at different speeds, with different distractions along the way, and different gifts to help us get there. Nice to be kind to travelers and make the journey fun and pleasant!

How super to have the smell of pine cones - we do have them in the woods out the back but I have been too lazy to collect many! I think they smell fabulous burnt on a chiminea. Betty

Pine cones have always been a scent associated with Christmas for me. I keep some from year to year.
Pleased that your husband is doing well.

So hard to leave loved ones behind and go to work, isn't it? I struggle with it, though I love my work once I am there. There is always, though, that strong deep tug on the heart strings that tie us to home. Enjoy your back to work day, and your return to your cozy haven at the end of the day. Sending good thoughts your way, as always!

I'm so glad things are going well at your house. I am one who regularily reads your blog but doesn't comment. Maybe I'll try to do better at that.
Oh, and I love the yellow tulips. Makes me wish for Spring.

I can't imagine any season here when I could have tulips and Christmas decorations in the same day! You make me yearn for Christmas- but first the joys of cold, clear, calm November!
