Blossoms and Paws

It's getting closer to lovely Easter!  The blossoms are lovely and I heard on the news today that people are hanging around Washington, DC because the blossoms are so gorgeous!  Woo hoo!

Mr. Cuddle Bug is not too impressed with the cool temps that have been interspersed with the warm weather.  Lap cat.  I'm working on a cotton linen tank in purple.  You've seen it before. A little attention to THIS project and then THAT project . . .

You know you are a cat lover when you are obsessed with the cuteness of PAWS.

This is a fun sock pattern!

We've been dog sitting Jenny's pom,  Thumbelina.  She's old and jumpy, but she goes right into her carrier at night so we can sleep without worries that she is using the wood floors for her bathroom.  Tim is NOT a fan.

Grampy found "green means go" popsicles!

James LOVES to clean.  I pulled this old mop out of the trash can so he could do his work.
Jenny's family is at Disneyland!  They are having a ball!  It's very crowded but the weather is nice and the girls are smiling!

Plum Cake's favorite!  She was thrilled!
Yesterday afternoon Clara and I drew Easter dresses.  I might draw more.  Yes, I know.  I have the skills of a fashion designer.  Thank you.

Have you drawn any Easter dresses?

My Bible study ladies are making prayer beads.  I'm going to use mine (I'm going to make a stretchy bracelet since I already have the beads below) with breath prayers.  Here's a link to the practice of breath prayers.  Personally, I wouldn't use "higher power" because I say "Father God" and "Jesus" and "Holy Spirit" but you get the idea.

I'm off to do my little part time job (for Bill's ministry) but I hope you are having a cheery week.  I bet the birds are chirping for you.
Love love love!

Pompom, I think that Clara is following in your foot steps as far as drawing fashion is concerned. I love your classy designs.
I would like hanging around Washington to see and smell all those blossoms like a lot of people are doing right now.
You have become a proficient knitter. Always something interesting on your needles. If you have spare time to knit, the kitty has figured out you have time for him to sleep on your laps.

Enjoy your spring weather. We still are in winter mode here although it's getting a little warmer.

I have small prayer beads similar to yours and some rosary ones..
Hugs,
Julia

Thank you VERY much for the breathe link- I went to my first yoga class today and there was lots of loud breathing. The room was crammed full of people and boy, did they breathe! I found it moving, disconcerting, strange, joyous, oh I don't know. i shall go back just to listen more! PC doesn't approve of me and yoga, but I think, where better to meet interesting people interested in spirit? Also it might make me stronger on mountains...

Such a breath of fresh air from all this talk of Brexit and second referendums we're being saturated with here. The drawings and dresses are divine. xxx

Your dress drawings are fun! Love the blossoms. We are starting to see color here in the Puget Sound area. Yippee! Hoping for sunshine tomorrow and Friday. Maybe this very noisy wind is blowing the clouds away. Hope the rest of your week is lovely.

Very interested to link over and read about breath prayers! I love the sound of it.

Your purple tank and coral socks look lovely and colorful. SO Pom Pom! :D
As do your Easter dresses. I must confess, I forgot to draw some after I said I would, but since it is not yet Easter, I hope I have a little grace period. It does sound like fun to doodle Easter dresses!

I wish you a beautiful rest of the week!

Oh Pom Pom the cherry blossoms are beautiful. I got to see them about 15 years ago and they were stunning.

So glad that your family is enjoying Disneyland. It is only 10 minutes away from where I live. But, I don't go there much, so much walking for me.

Kitty sure loves to sit in your lap LOL. The grands are sure cute as a button.

Have a grand week.

You are a great artist and I love those clothes you designed. Clara's are beautiful too. It looks like you and your family are doing really well. I loved seeing James with his mop, how cute. My kids had a mini broom and dustpan that they used all the time when they were younger. Now they have to use the real broom and are slightly less enthused.:)

Why, I've never thought about drawing Easter dresses. The cheery blossoms are just beautiful. I love kitty cat paws too.

Sitting with that kitty curled up on your lap looks like a cozy way to do your knitting.
Green popsicles and Disneyland looks like a lot of fun. Such cute pictures of the grands.
I would like to sport one of your creations for my Easter dress. I can't say I've ever drawn an Easter dress. Perhaps this should be the year to try :).

Sounds like everyone is having fun (except Tim!). Disneyland must be great this time of year. I haven't been to Disney World in ages and won't get there before I move. Such a pretty color you are using in your knitting! Have a great day.

Gorgeous pictures of the blooms! Love the sweet paws of kitties too... they are just so content when they are asleep! Cats don't like any upset in their routine, lol! Your projects, as always are marvelous! Love that purple! Sunshine here today, we are thrilled to see it, and the mud is drying up, yeah! :) Have a lovely weekend (great sketches for Easter dresses, too cute!)

Oh I think you most definitely have the talent for fashion design. So happy all those pink blossoms are smiling for you. Aaah Spring....how wonderful.

I love your little snippets of life, :) And I love those pics of Disneyland. I adore that place! Glad the grands had such a good time. I am going back in October. Your kitty reminds me of my old man Sam. Very cuddly lately. :) Kit

I'm a big fan of your peeps! Your drawings are always so cheerful and full of fun. :)
The cleaning/dish washing stations you set up for the kids outside are such a good idea. My grands are always begging to wash dishes, and outside is a good place for doing it...when it warms up a little more!
I'm loving those chunky socks you're knitting.
I hope the pom and Tim got along okay. :)
God bless you all!

Hi Pom Pom, I wanted to stop by to tell you how much I appreciate your prayers for my surgery last Monday. Diana posted a prayer request on her blog and I am full of gratitude! I am slowly recovering but wanted you to know how very much I appreciate you thinking of me. :-) I love your blog and look forward to following along and getting to know you better. Have a great week!

Blessings,
Jill

Your grandkids are just so adorable and I love the Easter dress pictures that you and Birdie drew. So sweet. I also appreciate your knitting so much. I'm in awe of it and in awe of the diligence to continue on working on those projects.

The breath prayer is an interesting one. I like the idea. It's funny that you posted this and a few days later I wrote about breathing. I didn't even know you wrote this blog post. The breath prayers remind me of the three word prayers (symbol of the Trinity) in Scent of Water:
Lord have mercy.
Thee I adore.
Into Thy Hands.

Those Easter girls in their Easter dresses are just adorable. Pom, I do love your art style. You may think I'm being silly, but I really like it and think it would be excellent for children's books. I love those girls! I am wondering what you use -- what kind of pencils or pens? I like the bright colors and how smooth it looks. Share that info, if you have a moment. Thanks!
