My sister sent me a goodie box! She's so sweet. I love the Peter Rabbit purse.
Some favorite Easter bunny girls.
They had a fun swim meet! Splash!
Fairies! So precious!
It is not really feeling like spring so we still need snuggle supplies on the sofa.
And tea.
And an overwhelming supply of books.
In all my years of sewing I have never made a big boo boo while cutting out the pattern/fabric. Never say never. Anywho, the Easter dress is an Easter skirt. I'll take a picture of the revised outfit very soon. Oh well!
More cuteness!And more cuteness!
And even though I messed up the Easter dress, this hat for Brad is done and will pass for cozy. I going to keep sewing because I don't want to stop at a discouraging point. I may never start again.
I'm looking forward to seeing spring garden doings around Blogland. We won't have those opportunities for a while, but I shall enjoy flowers from warmer climes.
Take care and thank you for popping in!

oh dear re the dress but at least it will be a skirt and not a handkerchief!!! Mmmmm, swimming looks good! I want to swim too! we've just returned from a veeeery cold 12.5km trek up Windy Gyle which lives up to its name and the temperature was 2degrees without the wind chill factor which made it feel like -3 degrees!
Xx
I spent Saturday evening on a crochet project - and Sunday evening after church, I unravelled it all and rolled up the yarn into a tidy ball. Every craftswoman has to re-adjust her plans at times! Love the little hat! Easter blessings xx
Aw that is too bad. I was wondering how your skirt? turned out. :)
All your Easter things look wonderful. So does your book by Annie Dillard. I have never read that one.
It is going to be cooler here for awhile. No rain though.
Just windy.
I hope you enjoy your tea and your lovely cozy blankets. I love fairies and James and his Mommy are such cuties. Your hat turned out so nice.
Have a nice Monday.
Ah too bad about the dress but at least you savaged a skirt from it.
Not much like spring here today either but we don't have snow.
It sure is windy here today!!
The hat looks soft and warm.
don't be discouraged! we all make mistakes! that does not mean that you can't sew! try again!!! and I would LOVE to see that skirt!
It sounds like you had a nice Easter. I'm sorry about the dress, but if you were able to make a skirt instead, that's really good. I hope you have a good week ahead.
Well...happy you turned your flop into a skirt! There is all kinds of cuteness in your post. Looks like everyone had a good Easter! Blessings!
How sweet and thoughtful of your sister to send you a goodie bag.
Your sweet fairies are beyond cute, as is little James and the other littles.
Sorry about the dress boo-boo.
Well, we all make a mistake now and again. The skirt will be pretty. You could wear it with a wonderful sweater, made by you! :)
Oh my, your poor dress. Don't worry, you will come up with a beautiful skirt. I just love your little Easter fairys. So gorgeous! :) Kit
Looking on the bright side, maybe it was meant to be a skirt. Just think all the pretty blouse you can wear with it to match some of the colors in the fabric. I think a skirt is more versatile than a dress.
Lovely hat. It turned out perfect.
The grandkids are all so sweet. Love those little fairies.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
JB
Hello Pom Pom, gorgeous post ...your grandies are so cute & I just adored the little fairies. Your Easter parcel from your sister looks wonderful too. You are very wise to KEEP sewing as you may not start again for a very long time (as I did once after a mistake). You will be fine, its just a blip. Take care x x x
I love that picture with the fluffy bunnies - it's priceless! sorry about the dress disaster, but you have saved the day and made it into a skirt - you would be surprised how many times I have bodged something and it became an apron! they make great gifts! I have a virus and so am sleeping a lot, our fence came down in storm Katie. I think a few trees might be down. While I am bed bound I will do some letter writing :D Betty x
so much cuteness your post glows! Looking forward to seeing the new outfit -- I cut things out wrong all the time so I understand. Looks like you had a wonderful Easter!
Annie Dillard is such a favorite; you're sure to enjoy.
So much cuteness all around you!!! Lucky Granny.
Sewing boo boos happen. Keep sewing. You were smart to turn it into a skirt instead.
We had a good Easter....all the kids and grandkids here. Fun and wild.
Our Easter was a small gathering at our home after worship. Thankfully, the sun came out for a bit which gave opportunity to take Charlotte (my granddaughter) down to see the chickens. She wants to help me plant my garden this year, so I'll have to have her over soon to put some seeds into the ground! Sorry about your sewing project...a skirt is better than nothing!
Blessings to you and yours!
xo Lisa
Sorry about your Easter dress. The fabric sure is pretty and probably made a beautiful skirt.
Such a lovely, happy post of life and family. I like everything with Peter Rabbit on it :-)
