On the Needles With Yarn Along
My alpaca vest is coming along. I am using addi Turbo needles and they DO help me knit faster, more comfortably. I must contact the Napa yarn store and order two more skeins. I like the way the color of this lovely yarn reveals itself.
I'm keeping my striped sweater within view and I'm waiting for the verve to finish it.
I read the diaries of Alison Uttley and after ordering some of her classic tales, I wonder why I had never come upon them before. Hmmm. Her "village-y" voice resonates with me.
This is good, too. Not a quick read, but challenging.

both projects are really beautiful!! i like working with alpaca yarn, i learned to knit on an alpaca farm and that has been such a great experience. i still take knitting lessons there!!

I've never tried addi turbo needles--sounds like the turbo does mean turbo!
I looked up the Alison Uttley diaries on amazon.com--she sounds fascinating and complicated. I'd like to read them sometime. But what season is best?

I played Meg in "A Man for All Seasons" - the Tudor outfits were really uncomfortable to wear, and I found I was rubbish at curtseying without falling over! Do you know Phillippa Gregory? She writes excellent historical novels.

Oh do review this book when you finish it, Pom Pom. More and his daughter do not come out well from Hilary Mantel's books! Cables! I love knitting cables. This alpaca is very exciting to watch.

All that yarny goodness! I was watching my daughter's sis-in-law crochet today and got the bug again. I borrowed a couple of beginner's books.
