(Guess where I keep most of my clothes?  Yes, in the ironing basket.  It's TIME to iron, but real quick I wanted to say hello to you!)
Happy Monday morning and happy Labor Day in the USA!  This is the end-of-the-summer picnic day.  We're going out to Kelli's to BBQ.  Yay!  FUN!  Bill is home and snuggled in!  Yay again!
My sweetie pie friend Sandra sent me this tiny tea set. She meant it for the grands but they are too reckless with glass things so I'll let them play with it when they are older.  They ARE getting more housey in the Wendy house.  Lately, they've been washing dishes and organizing.  In the early Wendy house days, they liked to chuck my little glass tea things out the windows.
ARGH!  This cat mint/bee balm whatever it is IS INVADING the flowerbeds.  My neighbor said that one year the Denver Botanic Gardens raved about it so she planted it, but now she's not convinced it was a good thing and I agree!
I'm not so mad at the morning glories because they DID organize themselves and climbed the antique push mower.
And the sunny marigolds that have SHOWN this year are my favorites.
Hello, Miss Flamingo.  Birdie used to call them mingos.
And now that Reve pulled out the extra plants, the zucchini are gorgeous.

Don't you LOVE nasturtiums?  They don't do as well here in dry Colorado as they do in moist Washington, but I'm glad they make an appearance just the same.
 More pushy glory!
Aw!  The hollyhocks are so gentle and sweet.

And the zinnias . . . so colorful!

Last year the few sweet peas I had bloomed until October.  I have a HUGE bunch this year so I hope it doesn't do something Colorado-crazy like snow in September.  I would LOVE to enjoy this riot of sweet peas in October!
WHEN are you coming over?  I'm ready for you!  We can circle up on the patio, I'll serve drinks and cookies, and we can solve the world's problems.  Okay?
This is the bird's FAVORITE feeder.  They always empty it first.  I filled two feeders up today.  I am so thankful for the birds.  They are so independent but SO appreciative, too.

Thank goodness for iPhoto sharing.  I LOVE this pixie face, our first grand.  Look at those freckles!  SO precious!
Last night I got up after Bill went to sleep and did a little more knitting with the soft-as-a-bunny alpaca.
I'm so glad Bill's home!  I felt a little aimless when he was away because he usually isn't gone so long.
Thank you for popping in to say hello today.

I never get anything accomplished when Ron is gone either. Not a thing.
I also don't sleep very well either. Your knitting is beautiful.
I love all of your flowers and your garden. It sounds like you are having a wonderful day.
I love your picture of your grands always.
Your flowers are lovely. I will never plant any kind of mint to grow freely. Always confined. It goes too crazy.
It does look pretty though.
Have a lovely day,

Glad bill is home today and snugged down for the duration. I love all your pictures. Your flowers are just beautiful. Laughing at the catmint- I all it catmight---it MIGHT take over everything in its path. Your knitted piece is so pretty- I can see how very soft the yarn is. xo Diana

Such beautiful flowers and I'm a trifle envious of your zucchini. My courgettes have been somewhat disastrous! Oh dear re the cat mint-very unfortunate!! It's a shame when something good goes too far!!! I spent HOURS hacking back my neighbour's pretty tree which is invading my garden by a good few metres!x

I have a fridge magnet that says 'I'd like a man in my life, just not in my house'! That's kind of where I'm at, at the moment. Do you eat the courgette flowers too? I can never bring myself to do it although they do look tasty. Lovely post as always, Pom and thanks ever-so-much for encouraging me back to Blogland. I'm loving that knitting. The colour is very pretty. xxx

Oh, alpaca is coming on well! save one of those seats for me- I'm gathering up my blanket now! We have some garden colour still, but I don't have your naming expertise! I'll take some pictures for you to identify!

I'm happy for you that your man is home at last. He's has the tome zone change to get adjusted too again.
Having him away for a few weeks makes the heart grow fonder.

Cute little tea set. I used to play tea time with my little granddaughter when she was a wee little girl. It was so cute. I'd love to come over are sit in your cosy chairs for a bit , have some tea with you and your good blogger friends and solve the world's problem.

Your flowers are still all doing so well and I love those Marigold. This is the first year that I didn't plant any because I had no more free space in my gardens. Those perennials keep spreading and taking more space every year.

Have a great tomorrow.
Hugs,
JB

I love all your flowers! Also love the quilts and comfy cushions on the outside chairs. I've done that too and now I'm spoiled and never want to sit on a hard chair!

Color is food for the soul, I think. You offer so much of it here through your photos. Thank you!

Everything is right again in your house, with your man home again, and you are knitting away. We love for Fall to come, but we don't want Winter to come before your sweet peas bloom! I also don't want Winter to come very soon, but people say it seems like it's an early Fall this year... well, we will have to enjoy whatever comes. I have plenty of firewood, I think. Love to you, Pom Pom!

I will come sit with you--and maybe even knit! So glad Bill is home safe and sound. I grow mint, but only in a pot because it's so invasive. I grow oregano and bee balm in the garden but keep an eye on them so that they don't take over. I wish my rosemary would grow as fast as the oregano. Hugs to you, Pom!

blooms are lovely and the tea set is SO small when placed against the mug. my cat mint is going gang busters; I should save some for winter but there's so much of it, the cats don't seem to notice. they do enjoy sleeping under it though.
I had 2 loads of laundry on the line today...lovely! So glad Bill is home,,,enjoy!

I planted that cat mint a few year ago and it is taking over the flower beds too. In some places, I don't care, but I'm going to have to pull a lot of it up this fall.

I love all of your flower-power!

Glad your Bill is back home, safe and sound.

Some plants to tend to take over, don't they? I love morning glories. My hubby is off helping friends with harvest and he has been hunting, so I understand the aimless feeling when our sweeties are gone. I am glad Bill has returned and life returns to normal for you.
