Hello out there. September is slipping away (I love #9, being my birthday month and all). Thank you for all of the kind birthday wishes. I enjoyed a full day of happy family encounters and good food.
Bill's cooking ham and eggs. Isn't that combination a perfect fragrance for a Sunday morning?
I've had some fun outings with friends and happy occasions with family. I'm finished with all my doctor's appointments for a while. It seemed like it took forever to get all those behind me.
I am going to try to make myself walk more than I have been. I am.
I thought I might be a bit more motivated to clean house now that I am not teaching school, but so far . . . not so much. I sure wish the mood hit me on a regular basis. Hmmm. I know this about myself, I don't like doing the same thing every day. Just saying.
I am thankful to be walking around on planet Earth and I am happy that my God, the Creator, invites me to know Him. Simple.

Your house is perfect with little people to visit and decorate it.
I support you in walking. I took a 20 minute one this morn as I know I'll soon be sitting for the rest of the morning.
Happy Birthday month...what sweet little is left of it.
i just finished my 4 miles for today. i always feel so much better when i exercise. :)
Walking is the best - blows the cobwebs away and clears the mind - teenage boy and I have our best conversations on walks. Today we saw the horses near the woods - the smallest was scratching his butt on a tree, so sweet. I hope you can do different things EVERY day if you want to! Betty
Glad you had a happy birthday.
What a beautiful photo. Love the afghan hanging there.
I'm sure you know I like walking!!! : )
I like your Simple. It is all that matters, don't you think. Having a home where kids can feel comfortable and a place to call home. I love all of your pictures today. I am still glad you are home every day.
I walk every day but I have no idea how many miles I walk but I'm on the go all day long and I'm so tired at night. All I know I have good muscle tone, lol.
I'm thankful for the simple things too but I also love my comfort, lol... Enjoy your retirement.
Hugs,
JB
Cute grandkids.
How long has that afghan been hanging on the tree? Seems like a long time, but it's not faded! :) Enjoyed the pics of your home and grandkids. Such a comfortable place. Does it sound like you're itching to get out of the house? Well, at least you are blessed to have the choice to spend the day at home or go and do something else for a while. That's a real blessing! (I know you know that.)
May God direct your paths in this new phase of your life. You may have to find an indoor place to walk soon, eh?
Aw your grandchildren are so cute. You post some lovely photos of them. I'm like you...I can't stand doing the same thing every day. I've always rebelled against too much routine! My mum used to despair! I'm a bit better now but just saying that makes me want to rebel! I'm always thinking I'll make some routine for the housework but it never works....I usually end doing a mad dash round if we have visitors! Xx
I get rare spurts of inspiration to clean. It does seem that the older I grow, the less important cleaning the corners becomes. Have a great week, PomPom.
Only dull women have immaculate homes!! I have that quote on a magnet on my fridge!! I housekeep for a living so I have a great excuse for doing nothing when I get home!! Those Grandies are so photogenic!! Have a great week my friend. xxx
What beautiful little visitors, you have!!!
Ahhh, the time of year, for doc visits! Soooo good to be over this! Necessary but not looked forward to!
Mmmm, will you please send some walking motivation over here? ,-)
Gentle hugs,
Tessa~

Being IN my house each day does not inspire me to clean it more either. It inspires me to LIVE in it, if you know what I mean -- to do stuff in it and enjoy it. The cleaning happens at some point, but I refuse to stress about it. We have piles and junk and dust and dog hair :) I love seeing your little one eating ice cream on the arm of the couch. That's precious.
LOVE the pic of afghan amongst the fall colors and flowers. It is simple, isn't it? God loves us. I'm so glad.
Sweet grandchildren you have! I'm constantly striving for a simple life, but it still gets complicated now and then!
Yay! Looks like life is good. What great pictures of the kids. I'm trying to get all my doctor's appointments out of the way. I always do them right before my birthday to remind myself that getting older isn't so bad compared to the alternative. Especially when we live such great lives.
Happy, happy birthday dear Karen! Love the ripple tree hugger; reminds me of my grandmother's ripple africans...as she used to call them. She also called her Pomeranian a Pandomonium...never realizing...
