Cute Stuff

It's raining so much here that the police and school administrators canceled school.  There are flooded roads and parks.  In Boulder, it's worse.  Thank you for your concern and your prayers.  We aren't built for rain here.  I guess the ground is too hard and dry to absorb it all.  It just keeps coming down.
So, this morning I slept until 7am.  That's two and a half hours past my usual "get up" time.  I am cozy in the house, watching the rain hit the pavement.  I browsed for cute pictures today.  I was looking for a photo of my umbrella but I could not find it.  I found all of these instead!  The mouse is a dear toy of Miss Bug's.  This photo was taken a few years ago, but I still want one of these mice for my own.
Here is Miss Bug's fat foot, long ago when she was a baby girl.
This is the pirate toothbrush that I used to have.
A VERY cute book!  Do you see Puss in his boots?  How about Mother Hubbard's backwards apron?
Unfinished knitting - such cute colors!
CB when she was a tiny ballerina (second from the left!)
CB and Birdie in their first (of MANY) dress up dresses.  Fairies!
 Sammers in piggy tails!
Remember when I revamped my niece's old Ann?  She had to sunbathe for a while after her washing.
Here's Finnegan with Grampy!  (sorry about the mouth full of food!)
I have shown you so many "GRANDS"photos and these aren't all of our precious cherubs.
Jeff sleeping on the picnic blanket with tiny Miss Bug.
MY mouse again.  I gave her to my mama.
Here's Millie when she was little.  She's riding her bug.  I actually knitted her sweater and by the time I finished it, it was almost too small.
 A literary superstar (smile).
 A small creamer and a tiny sugar bowl . . .
A toadstool lamp to light a rainy day!  I may go out and gather all the gnomes and toadstools.  I like to bring them inside for the school year.
Pray for our floods.  I'm sure there are many frightened people.
Thank you for stopping by, Cutie Pie!

They showed the flooding on the news here. Scary. I'll be on CO. next month for a wedding, so I hope the weather calms down. Lots of pictures here that made me smile... babies, favorite books and dolls... :-)

Napping on a quilt in the backyard looks so comfy!

Thanks for all of the pictures of "good" things. It's always uplifting to come here. :)

Yes, our son and family are in the flooded area. The cell phone communications seem to be effected, so we haven't heard from them lately. Thanks for prayers!

Those grandbabies are all delicious. I'm bemoaning the fact that mine has started school and it's changing her everyday. I miss her baby-ness . She's a big girl now, as she pointedly tells me every five minutes!!
Safe thoughts to you. I heard about the flooding on the news. Is there a dam in Boulder? Stay warm and dry my friend.x

Sweet memory pictures. Hoping the rain subsides and the land can soak up all that rain. Are you sending it our way next? Enjoy your At Home Days.

i have been hearing about the heavy rains in Colorado and you were in my thoughts. i'm glad to hear that you are okay. maybe the sun will come out for the weekend?
we've been getting rain almost every day for a few weeks now too which is not our normal at all. no flooding though, just greeeeeen grass.

unfinished knitting is a perfect activity for a rainy day. brew yourself a cup of hot tea, add some honey, put your feet up and knit up a storm . . . uh. oh wait. how about knit AWAY the storm. that sounds much better.

I haven't seen any news coverage of your heavy rains yet - had no idea - keep safe. I hope there will not be any flood damage. It must be very bad to have to close schools. Keep cosy at home and bake ahead, get your provisions in - then you will be ready for anything. Hope your pretty garden doesn't get all washed up. Blessings and prayers for you and your area. Bettyx

Isn't it fun to sift through memories? The flooding is dreadful. I am sure that you enjoy having a free day; however, I know that your lessons will be behind. And you may have to make up the day. Bummer on that. The flooding here in Weld is so bad. We are dry here, but I am worried about some friends who may be in the middle of flooding in Evans. Have a good week end.

I saw the news and am praying about the rain. Gosh that water moves so quickly. Your grands are precious indeed! I like the fact that you let snap them au'natural. I'm always tempted to clean mine up! And the books you posted - thank you!!!!

I've been thinking about you Pom. Hope you are safe. I went out to split wood and found toadstools and mushrooms in the pasture. That's definitely a first around here. I wish the rain would come in little bursts not all at once.

Sending prayers and good energy for the quick receding of floods. We are entering autumn here... cold winds and frost warnings in the night. But it is lovely, comfortable, sweater weather. Thanks for the cherry bits of bright color and happy faces, Pom Pom!

The clouds are grey again! It's been pretty clear for a while.
Thank you for your kind care and concern for my sweet state and especially Estes Park and Boulder (two gorgeous mountain towns).

I am so glad you guys are okay. I went to lunch with my DD and she mentioned the flooding and I came home and started watching the coverage. Oh my! I lived in Wheatridge for 5 years and Colorado is near and dear to me. Take care! Kit

I didn't know it's raining heavily in your city. I hope it will stop soon before it does any more damage. We are so desperately waiting for rain as per forecast it will be raining in the next couple of days ( fingers crossed).. Your grands are so adorable! Memories are beautiful.

Keep safe PomPom. And oh, you are so brave to climb the harbour bridge. I won't do it for a million dollars.
