Granny Glow

It's that time of year again!  Finn's Picnic!  We had so much fun today with all NINE of the grands!  Granny bliss! Bill and Brad are in the Philippines and Scott had to work, but everyone else was there.

 Two mommies in the shade.

 Adorable birthday boy!
 The brothers!

We're all crazy about Jeff's Christie!
Plum Cake knows how to hold a popsicle!
Aria is so sweet to her baby cousin.
Atticus is a good friend, too!

April picked beans, parsley, and basil!  Yay!
 Pensive blue-eyed Samantha Rose (aw!)

I think she has it all figured out now!
Look at all that love!  They are SO CUTE!

Finn got to play with his uncles!
It was so fun to see all those little darlings!
I told you I would show you my friend Jennifer's chicken eggs!  Some are little.  Some are big. Some are green.  Brad and April's chickens are adjusting just fine!  Three eggs already!
I am going to regroup, refuel, and enjoy a few quiet days before I go back to school and jazz up my classroom.
I hope your weekend is perking along nicely.  Thank you for bearing with me as I gush over our WONDERFUL grands!

that's a lot of cute grands. imagine the memories that they are building~!

those eggs are beautiful. it's interesting how it takes the hens a bit before the eggs are larger and more regular looking. seeing your freshly lain eggs makes me wish i had some chickens of my own.

I LOVE Finn's picninc. You are so good to invite us every year! It is a landmark in the calendar- summer closing, fun new things about to come, unfettered joy; I like it. Look at the expanse of that garden. Just what littl'uns need. SPACE to RUN!

Hi PomPom, just wondering why my comment isn't showing up. An ok it needs approval first.

Hi Aida! Bill goes to the Philippines (and other countries) to mentor and teach Christian friends who work with kids. Our Brad is teaching this time, too.
Thank you for all your kind granny-affirming words, friends!

They are precious. Only one boy? Nothing better in life than a yard full of laughing children.

Two boys, Ann! Atticus is one. He will be in on all that action soon, though!

That is a post full of JOY! What happy days and blessed memories you will all have from the time at your home. You have a lovely home for entertaining grands, I think. I can't keep them all straight, and who goes with whom, but that's okay :) They're all dolls. I love how the kids play in the sun, and the grown ups sit in shade - haha! I had a funny thought, regarding the photo in your living room with the front windows and the bunting. With the shades down and the bunting hanging as it does, it looks like two enormous eyes, closed in sleep, and the bunting is like eyelashes. :)

I like that, MK! I love the bunting. I don't think I'll ever tire of it! Flags of happy! That's why I have it in my classroom, too.

I love your Granny Joy and gushing over the grandkids! They're just adorable. I noticed something in your photos that I have trouble with....getting ALL the grandkids in a single picture AND having them all look ahead. It never happens. I figure I need to make collages so I can get at least a few pics of the grands together.

The eggs are great! I love colored eggs.

Wishing you blessings and fun as you prepare for your students. I know they will be delighted to meet you and have you as their teacher.
