Hello! How is this fine January day in your neck of the woods? It's a little chilly here. I have my butterfly wing shawl around my shoulders and last night I took the hot water bottle to bed.
We had parent/teacher conferences in the evening. Whew. Busy.
The other day a little English parcel arrived for me. My friend Lynn (The Sunny Side of the Street) is so kind, so thoughtful, so smart. I told her that I plan on moving into this little toadstool house very soon.
While I was visiting my parents in Arizona I drank some good "mama" coffee. I gave this little coffee set to my mom quite some time ago and she gave it back to me. It's good for granddaughter tea parties and it's good for Pom Pom shelves. Isn't it cute?
Beads and fake wildflower garlands hang in our entry way. Ah, hopes for spring! Isn't it fun to read about friends' garden plans? I like thinking about herbs, sunflowers, hollyhocks, zinnias . . .
We sat on the patio in Phoenix and looked at all the busy birds. Sometimes a cardinal and his wife come to my parents' feeder. He didn't come, but my mother is the loveliest red bird I know. Isn't she bright? I love looking at her. When I visit, I usually give my dad a manicure. We clip and file, making his hands neat. He has the sweetest hands. His fingers are narrow and his nails are perfectly oval. I love holding my dad's hands.
My sister and I had fun together. We talked while falling asleep. It is a privilege to be close to a sister, isn't it?
I'm off to school. Today is the due date of grandchild number eight. Will you join me in prayer for April? I hope her delivery is smooth and safe. Babies. JOY!
Jenny is pregnant! Samantha Rose will have a sibling in September. Nine grandchildren for Bill and I! BLESSED!
Thank you for coming by. I hope your day is sparkly.

Congratulations! Grandchildren are the most wonderful gift!
Oh wow!! All those grandchildren, what a true blessing from God. Your comments on your parents are just precious and your sister, that is also a blessing many people don't have.
Prayers for April now.
That is the sweetest mental image of you giving your daddy a manicure! Congratulations on more grandbabies!
I will be praying for her and your next grand baby. Nine that is amazing. God has blessed you in what counts. The fruit of the womb is God's reward. People say things you know, so I always tell them to God, people are His riches. Not the other stuff we think is so important. I read yesterday in Proverbs so is a good wife. I told my sons.
I am thankful you had such a nice time and it is always a joy to get caught up.
Blogland was dark without your happy thoughts.
Stay warm.
Congrats on number 9 :)
Yippee, more grandbabies! :) Lovely little house from Lynn, she's a sweetheart isn't she? Your Mom is like a ray of sunshine! :) xxx

Thanks for your prayers, MomPom. Nothing yet, though. Love you!
Oh, I forgot to mention, have you heard that country song "Daddy's Hands"? If not, I will have to play it for you next time I see you. I think you will love it!
Lovely, lovely. I love you mama!
Look at your family, just growing and growing! That's wonderful! Your mama is adorable, all dressed in one of your favorite colors :) Must be hereditary!! Congrats to you and Bill!!!
Can you just imagine the inside of that toadstool house? Wouldn't it be cosy!
I hope you come home from school to find another grandchild delivered safely:)
I love her bright outfit, it's down my alley! hehehe Today I had coffee with chocolate flavor creamer!!! Oh my Goodness! I'm hooked and I'm not even a coffee person!
You are so lucky to still have your parents. I love your red mamma. She's so cute. No teacher's conferences for me. 3 cheers. They can be exhausting. Congratulations on baby #9, one more blessing.
Ah you will be a busy grandmother shortly with this latest arrival imminent, praying that the baby will enter the world safely and joyously. Your mum is sweet and very tidy looking. Can't wait for Spring, Spring in my step, Spring in the air, I long for walks in the wood with new life shooting up around me.
So much joy & sparkly colour. I love the thought of a butterfly wing shawl. Glad that you had a lovely time away visiting with your parents. What a kind thing to do for your father...the manicure. Hands are so important aren't they & often so very memorable. Touch..a connecting gift. Big hug my friend. Much love Katie (my Nanna name) x0x0x0
Your grand-children are certainly a blessing from God. As is your mum. How fortunate you are to still have your lovely mum. Mine died when she was only 46, so very young, and so much that has been missed in her going then. On a happier note, I shall certainly pray for the safe arrival of grand-child No. 8.
So many good things Pom! How lovely to still have your sweet mom to spend time with. And another grand -- wonderful news!
Blessings Miss P,

Pom Pom reading about your parents and sister gave me goosebumps! So sweet. And more babies! Hooray! Saying a little prayer right now x
Congratuations on the Grandchildren front... You'll have to get knitting!!
God bless
I had to come back to comment on your comment on the stereotyping. I wish you could hear my adult kids and their own comments of home schoolers...it is toooooooooo funny, so those really never bother us. If they can't spell they will shout out...oh it is because I was home schooled...etc...they make fun of themselves.
The lesson to me was really the stereotyping and how it affects us and stops us from getting to know someone...it just happened that the example was home schooling.
Our son is in 9th grade public school and doing great...God has allowed me to enjoy the benefits of both types of schooling.
And I praise ALL teachers!! Oh how I wished mine could take classes from you....so blessings, blessings.
Your quiver is full of grandchildren! What a blessing.
I did not know cardinals are as far west as Arizona...I wish they'd keep coming all the way over to Southern California. I never saw one of those beautiful red birds until I visited Arkansas a couple years ago!
That is the sweetest little toadstool house.
Wow! Nine!! So wonderful and fun! I'm glad you had a good time in Arizona.
Blessings!
Deborah
