Color Pop and Baby News!

Do you have any handkerchiefs you'd like Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle to iron?  I have two pink Beatrix books, new to my pile of books.  Amazon knows my preferences a little too well, I think.  I read the two stories below to myself, before bed this week.  This morning I had fun copying Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle into my sketch book.  I especially adore the stripey skirt.  If I ever get around to wearing skirts, I must sew a Tiggy-Winkle version for my own granny self.

Do you love the gentleman's coat?  I do, even though he is a villain in the story.
My friend Debbie from No Spring Chicken pointed me toward a little video about Kaffe Fassett found on Little Jenny Wren's blog.  Talk about inspirational color material!  Wow!  I ordered a book!  I love Kaffe's polka dot shirt and springy shorts, don't you?

One of my Christmas money orders could not be fulfilled (a new set of Laura Ingals Wilder books) but I still have my old tattered set, so I ordered this wall sticker for the living room instead.  Isn't it fun to "stick" something pretty on your walls?  I think so!  Gigi at My Firefly Cottage said that pretty soon I'm going to have to rename my blog in a toadstool fashion.  Ha ha!  No, I will give myself a toadstool year and then move on to something else (maybe something a little less silly, right?)

Meanwhile, I feel quite inspired by this mama toadstool and her pretty babies!
The grandbaby is being born right now!  I will update as soon as he/she arrives!  Thank you for your prayers for April.
I am going to a Scentsy party at Kelli's today.  Do you know what it is?  I think it's products that send lovely smells through the hallways and corridors of your home.  Yummy!  I hope they sell strawberry smells.
Bill and I are going to try a new church tomorrow.  We're looking forward to that.
Thank you for popping by today.  It's always nice when you peek in to check on me.  May you have a VERY colorful and inspirational weekend.  (Big hug and kiss!)
Added update:  Atticus Jeffrey has arrived!  He weighs in at 8 lbs. 1 oz! 20.5 inches long!  Hooray!  Mommy is doing well! She's a champion, Brad says!  Thank you, God!
Oh, and we really liked the new church, too!  Pictures to come!

I have some sheets, kitchen towels, and a few shirts that need ironing too. I never look as quaint as she does when I iron. Have a good Sunday.

Since my youngest's name is Benjamin..well we love Benjamin bunny!
The colors in the book are great...the toadstool too much fun.

I did a post one time when we had toadstools in the yard...my son put his little people under them and then he was the giant beside them...toadstools just bring out our imagination.

Blessings to you and yours...and all those grand children, what a joy!

I saw lots of toadstools in Hobby Lobby this morning and thought of you. Where does one have to go to actually see these cute kind with red tops and spots growing? I am pretty sure it isn't Texas.

Can't wait to hear news of your new grandbaby.

Glad to hear bub is on its way. Mrs Tiggy-Winkle is my favourite character. Have you ever seen the Beatrix Potter ballet? You can get it now on DVD. I think it is the ballet dancers at Covent Garden that dance - you should try the library if you haven't had a chance to see it before.

Please please forgive me...I have neglected to visit your beautiful blog. December was super busy and then after Christmas people saw the Crochet Angry Birds hats I made for my grand kids and the orders started coming in. I just finished two and have another blue one on order. I really like the new look of your blog. Mama Toadstool and her babies is simply endearing and melted me....makes me want to make some sort of Toadstool. Excited about your new addition. Thanks for your comments on my blog. :-) Aura

Oh, can't wait to hear about the baby!

I love Kaffe Fassett. He is big in the quilting world, too, and I've used his fabrics frequently (though usually in small bits).

Hope you had a good visit to the new church.

Oh yay - a new baby here all safe and sound! How many grands is that for you now - 8? We are blessed, aren't we!?
And I hope you know that toadstool comment was made in jest (as we like to say ;) - there's no such thing as too many toadstools, B. Potter, or grand babies, is there?
Hearts & bunnies to you & yours,
