Precious Faces

Brad had a teaching engagement in Fort Collins today, so he asked Bill and I to cover the Sunday school class at his Korean church. WHAT a privilege. Bill led songs (he's so bouncy and good at that!) and I talked about the PEARL of great price.

First they hunted for a pearl in a big cup of rice. Then they busied themselves stringing beads I brought (just to take away from the discomfort of sitting around a circle with Brad's parents instead of Brad!)

We spoke of treasures, things we value, and realizing WHO Jesus really is. Do we KNOW Him or do we give Him a nod only at church, because we really DON'T know Him and don't realize WHO HE really is? I'm so proud of our Brad who spends every Sunday afternoon loving these Korean Americans. He prays for them, KNOWS them well, teaches them God's WORD, and smiles a lot (he's good at this especially!) They prepare a fantastic Korean meal and they all dine together in the church basement EVERY week.
Oh, how I loved sitting in a circle with these precious faces. Now, I'm ready for my week at school.

Thank you so much for loving those kids this week. What a joy that they could see Jesus through your wonderful lesson, through Dad, through our family relationships. What a blessing to me and especially to them! I love you so much!

Thanks for reading my blog! And yes, I am to a point where a rack is starting to seem necessary, I hope that's not a bad thing! ;)
