Hi everyone! I was just wondering what you are up to. Hmmmmmm?
The next day these two and I had a coffee break at a bakery.
On Saturday Bill took Superman to the park! Isn't he growing up? Noah stayed at our house and snooooooooozed.
Here's the cozy little napper. I really must peel off that old wallpaper border and maybe figure out a better storage solution for all the knitting projects.
November has NOT been gray! It's been red and orange and downright glowing! Yay!
Before I start sewing "outfits" I wanted to make a pillow for our bed. I am not very practiced at piecing/quilting but it turned out okay!
Lizzy wanted to fix things when she visited today.
I finished a shawl! I didn't follow the pattern because it had a big leaf/lace section that seemed overly fussy to me. I was getting bored so I added in some colors which may have been a mistake. I like it anyway and I also made a few boo boos like forgetting to increase on the wrong side for quite a long ways. It's forgiving and it's soft so I'm happy!
I ordered some new clogs from the discount house and they are sort of "fairy princess-ish" aren't they?
These cutie pies are on a cruise out of Florida. I miss them and I'm glad they'll be back soon. Isn't Miss Bug making a funny face?
Here's a nature journal page from Granny Marigold
Here's an autumn post from MK
Here is a lovely page of painting from Gumbo Lily
Marcie took a trip out to California so she is catching up.
I can't believe Thanksgiving is so soon. I shall bake pretty pies and also make that Nila wafer/banana dessert for the first time ever!
It's getting dusky outside so I'm off for a short walk.
Thank you for stopping in!

Your pillow turned out great and looks good on your bed. The colors in your garden are stunning.
Sounds like your going to have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. Isn't it nice not to have to cook. I couldn't even lift the turkey if my life depended on it. LOL
I stopped about 10 years ago - I was exhausted and I said that's it. Now it's up to the younger generation to take up the spoon. I am spending Thanksgiving with my son and his girl and her family.
How about a book shelf for your yarn - in baskets.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving and the grands are darling.
Hugs,
Mary
Your life always has bright colors in it and you don't seem to sweat the small stuff like mistakes in a pattern. Hooray for you... Noah looks all grown up all of a sudden. How they grow fast...
It's so nice that you don't have to prepare the Thanksgiving dinner. I love being served once in a while. too and being with family for a special occasion.
Your lap loving kitty looks so comfy there. He looks like a permanent fixture. I bet he is not too worried about your wool projects storage problem, lol...
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving.
Hugs, Julia
You have a good looking family. So glad you all get to share your time together. Life is good with family to love. I like the pillows they picked up the colors in the quilt. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Love those pretty pink clogs!!
Your kitties always look so comfortable, they are much loved you can tell.
I've been keeping busy with mom though she is still in the rehab. I try and have lunch with her nearly every day.
Your colors are still quite pretty, for us its rather drab.
Good to see you ♡
I was wondering what you have been doing. It sounds like you are going to have a very fine Thanksgiving. Your knitting is so pretty. So is your pillow.
My computer is and has been weird. I haven't got on very much. What else have you been doing. I know I am being nosy.
Your pictures are awesome.
I really love that banana pudding recipe (what we call it down here). It's so creamy and yummy. It's perfect for Thanksgiving when everyone is so full - it's a light dessert. Well ... it FEELS light :)
I'm so happy that somebody else has bags and baskets chock full of yarn and yarn projects. My "creative" room looks like that - yikes.
I'm so happy you will have a full house for Thanksgiving (at someone else's house!!) Sounds so good. Thanksgiving is for family and gathering together. Timmy looks so cozy on your bed - nice pillow too!
I like your new pillow and also the lovely quilt folded at the end of your bed. Your princess clogs are cute but I would be afraid I'd trip if I wore backless shoes. I tend to be a bit of a klutz and at my age it's better to avoid a tumble. Actually that would be for any age I guess.
I keep forgetting that your Thanksgiving is coming up. I hope yours will be all that you wish for.
I am so excited for thanksgiving! we are having a few friends here and will be ordering at lot of the food 'in' ... but will have it all DV! :)
I think that shawl is very classy, really. And your fairy clogs are perfect for brightening up winter. Speaking of brightening up, are those berries pyracantha? We had a bush when I was growing up (the birds would get drunk on the berries when they started turning to wine) and now they are along the walking path in my neighborhood.
As to what I'm up to, it's traveling, as you know ;-) Thunderstorms and hail but also some breaks in the precipitation so I could take walks. And I brushed my friend's chocolate lab and am cozy indoors again.
You've been up to loads of fun, that's what you've been up to! And your cozy little napper looks so comfy on that pretty quilt. Me? Getting psyched for Thanksgiving and Christmas decorating! The busy season!
I love how excited you are about your kids and grandchildren in every single post you write. It makes me so happy. Your pillows came out beautifully! I love them. I'm not great at patchwork piecing but I find it really fun to do. Your shawl is very nice too, I really like the stripes in it. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with everyone!
I think you should leave the wallpaper border, and your knitting stuff right where it is. I love the coziness of that room; the chair and quilt and sweet Timothy. It's just perfect. I love your posts and find it hard not to comment on every single picture. Yep, I can see why you love Brad's face. You have a lot of those sweet faces in your family.
I like how your pillow turned out.
Nice that you so many of you will be together for Thanksgiving. : )
I keep my knitting projects in different baskets too.
Your posts are always upbeat and fun. A pleasure to visit you.
You are very talented! Beautiful pieces :-) Love all the pictures of your family and the colors of nature are amazing... this is my favorite time of the year. Have a wonderful evening.
Blessings,
Jill
The pillow And the shawl are beautiful!! Clever you! That red tree is really eye-catching and pretty.
Ha ha, Tim is, as ever, asleep and cosy! I wish i were him!!x
I love seeing all your baskets of knitting sitting on the shelf. I wouldn't hide them! :)
What am I doing? Getting hungry looking at good food on other people's blogs! Think I'll heat up some veggies and slather on some butter and salt!
Your nice fall weather sure lasts a long time!
Stay warm and enjoy this time of year. :)
How wonderful that you are having such a bright and glorious November! I love the pictures that share little details about your life that make it so special!
Hi Pom Pom!
I like your pillow on your bed. It looks like a good place to cuddle. So glad you'll get a break from making the whole Thanksgiving spread. It'll be so fun to have your whole clan together for Thanksgiving. Wishing you JOY!
Golly, you are very bright and colorful this month! Not us. We have gray skies and brown grass and no leaves. Oh well.
There's so much colour in your home! I love your clogs
All looks happy and fun in your life. Good to hear. I hope your Nila wafer dessert comes out, I have never made one either. :) Kit
Hi! I like those clogs and when an animal is curled up sleeping it makes one just want to curl up beside it. You must do a lot of knitting!! Have a nice Thanksgiving with your family! Nancy
Good morning Pom Pom ~ I came here from Kit's Montana blog. What drew me was the photo of you and your beautiful silver hair. :-) I enjoyed your post, loving the pillow covers to go with your spread, which I also have, that I use in the spring/summer, and then I have one but in the red colors that I use for fall/winter.
Loved seeing all of your baskets of yarn projects.
Enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family ~ FlowerLady
How did you knit that shawl so big? I knitted (knitted?) a triangle last year and I knitted (sp?!) it until it squashed itself over every nano millimetre of the longest circular needles I could find. It is still tiny, even with two crocheted borders. I stand/sit in awe. Also, I want to ask you, PP, based on your sewing displays, will you please come to my house and help me make the curtains for the book room? I bought the material two years ago, and Prince Charming is vociferously less patient... I'll make tea?
