The Whoville Tree

I was out walking yesterday and The Pooch Mobile was parked in a driveway.  I could see the dog washing man inside and when he saw me he came out to say hello.  He asked if I wanted a business card and I quickly said, "Okay." Anyway he asked me what breed of dog I had and when I said, "I don't have a dog.  I just think that dog is cute!" he was sort of disappointed.  Don't you think this dog is cute?  It's some sort of oodle.

There are "animals" at the mall when we walk in the morning.  Here's a cheerful reindeer.  I sent this picture to my sister and she asked if you could ride them.  Ha!  No!
Isn't the mall cheery and hygge-like?  There are so many nice places to  sit and rest if you get tired of merchandise!  Oh by the way, Susan Branch posted about hygge.  Of course she has known what hygge is and has lived it forever!
Recently this little Paris cafe opened.  It's very cute.  I guess I don't go to the mall when it's actually open (lol) so I can't say if the treats are tasty.
We celebrated the first Sunday in Advent at Kelli's last week.  The girls danced while Bill played the guitar.  We ate spaghetti together.  VERY hygge.
 Here's Kelli's cute tree.
I thought you might like to see a few photos of Noah the elf.  Isn't he precious?

I'm sort of embarrassed to tell you that Timothy is more than extremely spoiled.  He sleeps IN our bed.  This is him this morning (that's my elbow!)  He stretches out like a slim weasel and sleeps all night.
I think I am very late to the Ezekiel 4:9 bread party.  YUM!  It's in the freezer section at the grocery.  It is SO good.

Another thing I'd like to share with you is this cool app.  It's free.  It's advent-y and interactive.  Just a little something to deepen your holy celebration.

And here is a little video I made of the Whoville tree.  I put it together and set it up yesterday.  It's very happy and festive.  You'll see the Melissa and Doug brand nativity set, Tim's food dish (lol), Timothy, and the candy themed tree in the family room.

Are you having fun decorating?  Have you baked any cookies?  Hot chocolate makes me feel awful but hot cider doesn't.  I shall serve myself some soon.
Thank you for visiting, kind reader.

I had a very terrible day and I will watch your video over and over. I love your voice. Your Whoville tree is lovely. So is your big tree. I loved seeing your tour. Timothy is so pretty. Much smaller than I thought he was. He is a very pretty kitty. I love your baby Noah.
Such a lovely blog post. I will check out your app.
I hope you have a lovely evening. I decorated a tiny bit this morning. I hope to do more in the morning.

Hello Pom Pom Little Noah is growing so much !!! Everything is beautiful. I watched your video, the whoville tree is wonderful & your voice is lovely & soothing but the star of the show was Timothy. Just beautiful ... do not worry about him sleeping in your bed .. Miss Pippi sleeps beside me most nights & even puts her head on my pillow like the Princess she is !!!!

Pom Pom you have the sweetest posts. Your Christmas trees are very pretty, and Timothy is such lucky little kitty. I enjoyed your little video. You should write a children's book. I've got to get busy decorating. So far, I've done nothing. :)

Your trees are so pretty. And I liked your little video.
Hot Chocolate doesn't agree with me either. Must try hot cider and see how that goes.
I had to look up Ezekiel 4:9 to see what it had to do with bread and now I know. But all in all Ezekiel is not a book I read ( not much edifying for me at least). Take care....

That baby is adorable! He has snazzy hair! The girl's are adorable too. Hygge -- yes, trying to create that. Does Susan Branch have a blog or a FB page? This holiday season is flying by -- I don't even have my tree up yet!So far behind. Maybe on Saturday. Love all the pics and yes, the dog is cute.

James is darling, Timothy is also, but not AS darling, and the Whoville tree is great! I had no idea what it would look like, from its name, but now that I know, I love it! This is the first time I've heard your voice, and I was surprised by it.... don't know what I expected there, either ;-) but it reminds me a bit of the way I talk, which is so "soothing" sometimes I think it must put everyone to sleep. Right now I'm past my bedtime so I won't blame my sleepiness on you! Love...

Noah Elf is the Very Best Elf! He's so sweet! And so are your big elves. Love your Whoville Tree. Will you hang ornaments on it or just leave it as it is? I like it plain and simple. The colorful lights are festive enough. And your tree downstairs is pretty too. I started decorating my tree with just red/white and I loved it, but then I added other colors and loved that too.

Thank you for sharing your video with us. I enjoyed it so much and loved hearing the sound of your voice. Happy, blessed Advent!

It was lovely to see your video, your home is looking very cosy and festive. I invited my neighbour's little girl age 3 round today to decorate my tree for me, it looks really pretty. unfortunately spoilt things by scratching her face! cats can be unpredictable at times. disappointed. Littel Noah is a dear little chap. Betty x

I'll have to come back later to listen to your video because Dear and I are together in the family room watching some shows on T.V.
Your little Noah makes me smile. Such a cutie pie. I'm being slow in decorating but will have to get to it before next Thursday for our small group Christmas meal together. No baking yet. We are driving to Canada on Sunday for a Mennonite Girls Christmas party. That should set me in motion. Have a wonderful weekend dear Pom Pom.

Love, love, love hearing you narrate a little tour through your home. Fun decorations!

Any chance that you are strolling today? My little weekly event is sort of fizzling out! I took photos earlier under a cloudy sky... flowers still blooming, unbelievable for December! But, it is now snowing large beautiful flakes and my bits of Christmas decorating begin to make sense! Finally looking like the season of joy!

love and hugs!

Hi, Pom!
Love your cheerful post. Good for you walking like that at the mall. My favorite is Ezekiel with Sesame seeds; yum. Your grandchildren are beautiful. Now I need to find out the meaning of hygge.

Oh what an adorable little elf your Noah is. Your Whoville tree is very cool and I love your traditional Christmas tree. I have to ask the question....has Timothy investigated your Christmas tree's decorations more closely yet?? =) I would love to ride that reinder as well. I confess, no baking cookies or festive decorating down here....yet. I suppose you would say I was terribly un-hygge. =(

Such a lovely video of your cozy home, and of course, the star of the show, Mr. Timothy! He is so precious, and such a sweet companion! I'm amazed he doesn't try to investigate the tree a little more, lol! Such a darling little Noah, and precious times with the grands! May the season of joy be full of hygge moments for you :)

It's now Dec. 22, so yes, we have decorated, and if it's not done by now, it's not being done this year :) Your trees are so lovely, and that's really the first time I've seen a video of your house and seen all the steps and different levels. And maybe the first time I've heard your voice? Can't remember. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
