Christmas Cuties and Amsterdam

Look who is NOT responding to discipline (the squirt bottle of water aimed RIGHT at him!)

Aw, it's blurry but Bill with sweet James, Plum and Sam at our advent dinner last Sunday is so precious.  Not so precious:  I woke up with the stomach bug the next day.  Argh.  I'm better now.
Finally, Jenny's whole family is well.  Yesterday was a bit warmer so Plum drove to the park.  Today it is VERY cold.  I bundled up for a walk and some vitamin D.
I was searching for some old Christmas photos, but then I came upon the Amsterdam photos from almost four years ago.  I loved all the red and I adored the houses.  I didn't care if it was dirty (I really didn't notice) because it was so absolutely charming.  I thought you might like a little Amsterdam tour (I'm not a good detail-y tour guide - so you'll just have to enjoy the pictures!)

Bill's on the way home with my accounting work I do for him.  Better scoot.
Sending lots of merry wishes and prayers your way, kind reader.
(HUGE HOLIDAY HUG!)

so beautiful!!! I love Amsterdam!!! So so pretty!

I am so glad that our cat does not go in our tree; Husband said he would chain her to something if she did! LOL!

I know all about the squirt bottle being of no effect...

I love your pictures of Amsterdam. Such a pretty place to visit. I've never been there but my daughter Nicole has been.

I hope the kitty will be better behaved next Christmas. There's so much to peek his interest on that tree.
Season's greetings.
Hugs,
Julia

Ah, cats and Christmas trees! It wouldn't be Christmas without a tree mishap when we had cats.

Oh kitty-cat! It must be very tempting for a cat. After all, it's just another tree to climb!
Sorry you were hit by a bug, nasty things seem to be around this time of year.

Naughty Timothy!! I hope he doesn't tip the tree.

I love the touches of red on the buildings in Amsterdam. It's so cheery.
I'm glad your tummy bug didn't stay around long. Christmas is no time to feel unwell.
Take care,

Amsterdam looks like a lovely place. I love all the colors of the houses. I'm glad you are feeling better. No fun being sick during this time of the year.

As much as you hang out with young children, it's a wonder you aren't catching even more bugs. I hope you get well VERY soon.

Was Amsterdam truly dirty? I thought the Dutch had a reputation for being clean.... maybe that was a long time ago, or I am confusing them with someone else, the Swiss, for example. I didn't notice the dirt in 1970, but I wasn't there long, and I was young - !

I went to Amsterdam a very, very long time ago. Hadn't even graduated. If I were rich, I would have taken my boys there two years ago when Jo was studying Anne Frank in school. We would have ridden on a canal boat and maybe cycled a little. Sat in Museumsplatz between Rembrandt and Van Gogh. Sigh! Maybe he'll go some day himself with a friend by bus. Stay in the cheap Christian Youth Hostel, and marvel at his independence!

My heart is going pitty-pat at the sight of all those beautiful buildings. So many gorgeous architectural details. What is it with cats and Christmas trees? Everyone seems to have the same problem. I wonder if anyone has come up with a solution. So glad you are feeling better. Have the mmost wonderful Christmas, lovely lady.
