Book Club and a Cozy Cat

Book club was VERY fun!  Everyone came (that's twice in a row!) and we had lots of fun talking about the book A Man Called Ove.  It's so enjoyable to glide through the book again and get insightful perspective.
The book clubbers are all very lovely, don't you think so?

I bought green flowers at the grocery store.  Mums.  I do love green.

I did put mums in the bathtub because I told you I would.  I had second thoughts when I looked at the price tags.  Are you a cheapo when it comes to buying flowers?
I bought ducks at the grocery in anticipation of three of the Ft. Collins grands coming on Friday.  They are too old for ducks but ducks are cute.  Please pray that James' little brother comes at a time when it's not too nutty!  What am I saying?  I want him to come right now!  So does his mommy!
Do you think you are living the good life?  THIS BOY is living the good life.  He's fattening up.  He has a cozy bed in each of his two favorite hiding spots.  He gets kissed and petted whenever he wants.  He eats fancy salmon cat food and kitty treats.

Tomorrow Miss Plum Cake will be here all day and Friday I'll pick up the three cherubs around 11 am.  It's a big slumber party weekend with adorable darlings.  And soon the baby will arrive!
I always underestimate the time and energy it takes to clean house (because I am not a regular cleaner type of person) so now I'm pooped.  I'm going to go upstairs and pull Timothy out of his nestlike bed.  I miss him.
Take care, good reader!  Thank you for popping by!

Yes, the book clubbers are all very lovely, and your home looks like a page from a story book. It is so cute. Timothy is such a lucky kitty to have moved in with you. I bet the girls love him. He has such pretty fur.

I am so glad every thing went well. I love your flowers in the bathtub! All of the ladies look like they are fun. Timothy looks like one happy kitty. I have a kitty that looks like Timothy. Almost exactly. Except he is giant.
You are going to be busy. I have Megs and Ben's kiddos this weekend too.
I am glad everything turned out so good.
Your yard looks wonderful too.

A cat really does warm up a home on so many levels!

The baby will come at the right time, and it might seem nutty anyway. Babies seldom are convenient that way :-)

Timothy gets a lot of lovin' doesn't he!! He is adorable ( and I'm more of a dog person than a cat one!)
I find it hard to shell out for cut flowers but have no problem spending on perennials. I guess I tell myself they are there for years not a week. Which is about what a bouquet lasts. Still, I do buy flowers in winter when my garden is bleak.
Thanks for your kind words left on my blog. My back and bum are black & blue still. I hope I learned my lesson.

Your home looks cosy and welcoming. Timothy is going to be very happy with you. Has he met Bill yet? I think flowers in the bath is a great idea but like you I am a bit mean on price with cut flowers and rarely buy.. I do however buy plants with roots every month and fill the garden and tubs as they last so much longer... I just remembered I saw seeds on sale 75% off so must go back and take a good look! Hope the baby arrives when all is peaceful and quiet and everyone is ready. Betty

I am stingy when it comes to buying flowers at the supermarket. They are so expensive and I think that some of them I should grow myself--could grow. But don't. Kitty is adorable. I miss having a an adorable cat. We have Mo. He's not adorable. He totally outgrew being feral. Love seeing your garden from the window. A very happy, cheerful home you have.

Before I got to your last paragraph I was going to comment on how CLEAN and sparkly your house is! Oh, the emotional energy of folk coming- such joy, such snooze-needing! I should really be house preparing right now, but after two very beautiful women with very beautiful houses came for dinner lat night- and I did nothing to our chaos- I'm just going to maintain that for some guests this weekend! I don't think they'll mind... Looking forward to baby news xx

Timothy is just darling! He is living a cushy life, and will have many years being a fat, happy cat in your home. :) Have a fun weekend with the grandies, and don't forget to REST. The book club did look great -- happy ladies -- and now your house is clean for a long time! Yay!

I am a cheapo too when it comes to buying flowers, though I love them! I recently opted for a cheaper pot, leaving a mum I was just adoring because it was more pricey. Imagine my delight when I came home today and my sweetheart had brought the adored mum for me as a gift. Here's the thing, he wasn't with me when I saw them before, I never even mentioned them, and he didn't know that I adored them but had passed them by. Just a coincidence, but it made me so happy!

I really enjoyed the book "A man called Ove" Glad you did too. I passed it along to my Mum and she liked it as well. Your home looks lovely, very pretty and cosy. I am cheap when it comes to buying flowers too. I try to get most of my flowers from my yard and neighbours yards. We just recently moved into our new home and the previous owners were not gardeners so I have some to plant some perennials to make sure I have flowers all summer long.
