Pause zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Here are two sugar plum fairies.  I like holiday puffs and sparkles! Not on ME, though.

These days I LOVE the faces of our eight kids (counting the inlaws/inloves) and their kids!

Bill gave me an early Christmas gift.  A gnome book!  It's adorable and full of secrets that I might tell you later.

I found out that little girls like watching "how to" videos of crafts and cake baking!
I am saturating our sense of smell with all kinds of Christmas scents.

And we have been making "not perfect" batches of colorful cookies.  The other day Jeff commented on all the sweets that are piling up around here.  He isn't a big sweet eater, but he is the one who loves the pickles I made in August.  Whew!  Somebody likes my pickles!
Kelli and Bryan's girls spent the night last night.  Here's all their baggage.  Ha ha!
Now for my Pause in Advent (don't hold your breath)

I'm tired and I don't mean sleepy tired, but just happily tired from a lot of goings on.  I do need to go out into the fray tomorrow and buy a few things (like the beef for Christmas dinner!) but I think I would like to wear my favorite outfit all day (the one pictured below).

I don't have anything real spiritual to say (sorry!) but I do feel a constant surge of gratitude for many sweet blessings.

I wish all of you some quiet and private moments to listen to the Creator and to feel cherished.  I hope your special holiday food tastes good and that you get a warm squeeze or two from someone you love.  I hope you help yourself to a little grace and don't try to be SUPER WOMAN.  I hope your rest at night is warm, snug and peaceful.
Thank you for stopping by.
Here's the Pause in Advent link.

Your grands are so cute! I can't believe James is sitting already!!! I didn't know that there was a book of Gnomes Christmas. I must look for it. I found the big Gnomes book this past summer at a garage sale or maybe in a thrift store. My grands like to look at the illustrations which are superb.

I wondered what you have been doing. It is so nice to see all of those happy, smiling faces and all of the goodies you have been baking.
I like your bunny slippers and your early Christmas present. Yes, I have to go out in the fray as well. I feel like I have lived out there in it.
I wish you lots of rest tonight. I hope you get snow so you can just snuggle in.

Merry Christmas, Karen I am so glad to have you this summer. We just need to get together. The girls are adorable in their sparkles and little James is already sitting up. Aren't the holidays more fun with little ones? The cookies look wonderful. I love gum drops. See you after the first of the year.

Merry Christmas... I love the photos of your grands decorating cookies. We will be doing that with our grands on Tuesday (nothing like cutting it close, huh?). This is such a busy time, thank you for the reminder of the reason for the season and to be mindful of our blessings.

You are SO right, as always. This is exactly the Pause zzzz I need this week! Having solved a Lego disaster with my stalwart brother, rock in a Christmas shopping storm that boy, I am now starting to feel small glimmers of excitement. The tablets must be kicking in!

Did you crochet that hat? I shall believe you did. Today I am going to think and tomorrow I am going to do. A little!

It's so fun peeking into your busy, sugar plum life. Such beautiful people to keep you smiling and tucker you out.

God bless these last days of Advent.

I think you had some pretty good spiritual thoughts! You are a charming bunch. Hey, your favorite outfit is MY favorite outfit. Your photos reminded me-I need to make some sugar cookies sometime in the next two days! Merry Christmas to the whole crew! :)

I like your pink PJs! So cute. It looks like a very Happy Christmas is in full swing at your nice home. I'm so glad. So many people have no family, no cheer, no hopes, no good memories. Aren't we blessed? Our family is fully into "adult Christmas" because there are no little children at all. But here in a decade or so, I bet we will be at YOUR stage :) What fun that will be! I look at all the cute Christmas sugar cookies longingly. I don't have the energy to make them -- they take so much time! But I love how they look. Merry Christmas, PomPom, to you and yours!
