Third Pause

Hello to the Pausers!  I feel like Easter is FAR away, do you?  I bought colored eggs for the grands because I think it's fun to hide them and find them, hide them and find them.  I've been doing this for a few years and quite honestly, my Easter bunny hiding game fails to impress.  You'd think I'd learn.  I like shiny eggs.
It's my SPRING BREAK (woo hoo!) so I am feeling quite cook-ish (chili) and bake-ish (cinnamon rolls).

I am thinking of my Easter bunny babies.  Our Jeff, our son-in-law Bry, and almost four years old, Aria.  She's FUN to shop for.  Dresses, headbands, and these lovely puppets.  Isn't this bunny darling?

I adore this red fox puppet.  Last weekend I opened the kitchen curtains and a big red fox made an impressive leap over the fence from our yard to my neighbor's yard!  Beautiful!
 Here's my PAUSE:
Jesus said love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.  My handy pedometer keeps me strong so I can LOVE Him with my strength.
My prayer beads keep my mind on Him.  I carry them in my pocket and I say my breath prayers.
My heart loves.  I aim to love Him whole-heartedly and show Him that by loving others.
My soul rests in Him.  Any practical ideas to care for the soul? I've read a lot about this, but I always like your perspective.
I am off to an essential oils class.  FUN!
Happy Sunday, sweet visitor!
I'll be back soon to show you photos and tell you all about the fifties party at school.  It was VERY sweet!

So glad you posted. Yay you are on spring vacation. I am so excited. Wishing you the best kind of day. It rained here last night, so my internet starts and stops. :) I sat down to write you a loooog letter and then the internet died and no letter. :(
Have a fun day.

For the soul, what about setting a bit of time each week where you do something creative in praise of him- paint, write, sing, compose?

Love your simple and very effective ideas to remember to do all these things that he asks!x

Thanks for popping by my blog, Pom!
Are you off this next week for break? If so, have loads of fun and relaxation!
Those puppets are so cute. I love foxes, too. Especially the weird noises they make.
I feel that if we seek first the kingdom of God He will add all "these things" unto us. Some of "these things" are the ability to love our neighbors and to love Him as we should. I don't think we can drum up that love on our own, but only by seeking Him actively. (Just something I had been thinking about for some time. I may not have said it well!) :)
Peace and joy, my friend!

My 'Grand' came to visit today and it surely lifted my soul. You have such a beautiful soul, Pom. Thank you for thinking of me.x

I think gardening is a good way to care for the soul. And looking at art. Beauty is a great balm. And holding babies.

Happy spring break, Pom! I hope you enjoyed your class.

The bunny and fox puppets are so sweet. Do they play "chase" together?

I like the way you explain how you love God with your strength, soul, and mind.

I feel my soul by taking walks. I sometimes pray, but often I just look around me quietly and thank God for so many, many things and so many people.

Good Lent!

I think your aromatherapy session will be a wonderful way to care for the soul...for me it's walking in the woods, always but my soul also particularly enjoys a meditative sauna. Hubby found a tv channel that has the sound of the sea and I had an afternoon sleep with it on, that was good for the soul too. Betty :)

Hello PomPom, isn't pedometer so practical? At least it gives you idea on how much workout you have done or need to do. Great invention! To pause and have a quick prayer is beneficial both for our body and soul. That little bunny is the cutest. Enjoy your spring break.

Hugs,
Aida

Hooray for spring break! Nothing green at home yet when we left. I am looking very forward to seeing green. I am glad Easter is late this year. I was thinking I might by all white eggs and hide them in the snow. Just kidding! Enjoy your break!

Blessings!

The care of the soul -- that's a topic I was ruminating on the other day, but I forget exactly what I thought about it. My mind is weak and forgetful. But it seemed to me that the Holy Spirit is the one who cares for my soul, soothing, massaging, calming; it is a spiritual organ that needs spiritual care, and He's the one to do it.
