Whenever Barnes and Noble sends me a 20% off coupon, I MUST use it. Isn't this a cute book? Between this book and Susan Branch's new England book, I'm ready to go to England. Not this year, but another year!
The state test at school is half over. The kids are doing a great job so far! When the first three or four finish, they go back to the cozy chairs. They are sleepy. In the afternoon, it's a bit different. CRAZY. They will be happy to finish all this testing and I will breathe a HUGE sigh of relief.
So, with rubber boots and new gloves (with no spiders hiding inside) I am ready to pull a dead stalk or five. I'm ready for it to be (brace yourself!) 70 degrees on Friday!
SPRING! She IS coming!

Oh my what gorgeous boots! I really do love those RED boots. Your new gloves are pretty too. Can't wait to see what will be planned for the garden.
What beautiful boots! I really like the pattern. The BPotter book looks good, too! I like the idea very much. I have a book about something similar. Oh what is it called? Think, think, google (because it would be awful if I actually got up and WALKED into the other room)...it is called How the Heather Looks by Joan Bodger. So glad spring is coming!!!!
It's supposed to be 70 degrees here tomorrow. I am so covetous of your boots. I went to the garden store today to by seeds for starting. Alas, my tomato cages are just plain green.
Did you notice the Star of David in the gate in one of your photos? It just jumped out at me!
Love the BP book and your boots! I hope you're right about spring being near.
I look forward to hitting the trails in my new running shoes! :D
Praying for great results on your tests!
Must. Have. That. Book! Wow, I love Beatrix Potter and Must. Have. That. Book... :)
Blessings, Debbie
Every girl needs a pretty pair of red boots ! I bet the weeds will pop out of the ground when they see you coming ! lol
I would LOVE to go on one of those walks in Beatrix Potter country. I am sure Peter Rabbit and Jemimi Puddleduck would be hiding in the flower patch waiting to say hello. Hope Spring greets you with a kiss xo
yes, it's time to savor the warmer days and do a little daydreaming about a garden . . . and try on new boots and garden gloves~!!~
wah-hoo~!

Lucky you! I would LOVE 70 degrees here - your boots are so beautiful - even if there aren't any flowers in the garden, your boots will compensate! The book looks lovely, I love Beatrix Potter books. Have fun with your garden plan and fun in your boots! Betty
Oh, don't just go to England, come to Scotland too!Bring your snazzy new boots - we love a bit of paisley over here!Good Luck with the garden. x
LOVE those boots, yippee!! Yes, come to Scotland too! :) xx
Oh wow, Pom -- all of this looks GREAT! Bright, clean boots, new gloves, a yard that is a new palette for your creativity to shine, and those books! Oh my. I'm having second thoughts about where I and a few of my friends should take a vacation together - haha :) Seriously though, have you already ordered your copy of Susan Branch's new book? It's not on the shelves yet, is it? I don't have any of her stuff, but from reading her blog, I really want a copy of this new book. I told Adam -- for my birthday :) Looks like happy days are coming up for you, dear!
Love the boots! Love getting geared up for gardening! We're supposed to hit 70 degrees here on Friday, too, and I'm going to be outside doing garden clean-up in preparation spring.
One of my dearest dreams is to spend a month or two tramping through England. I love the idea of a walking tour. Want to take one with me?

I love your boots and your gloves. My husband came home with new gardening gloves for me. They are hot pink. I was so happy. My other gloves had holes in the fingers.
I can't wait to see that book it looks incredible. I am glad your testing is almost over. I hope you have a very nice spring day. I got my back flowerbed all cleaned and ready for new spring flowers. To me it is like getting a canvas ready to paint.
I love your tomato cages. They would make me happy too.
Have a fantastic day.
I like your boots, MP! So vibrant, very pompomish. Have fun gardening!
Fun boots! I love them. And we always need some good gloves to protect our hands from those huge sunflower stalks. You go girl!
We reached 70* today (Thurs.) It was sure a pretty day.
Hooray for the near-end of testing.
I've never seen such cheerful boots OR tomato cages. You will be super-inspired by the time your dirt is diggable!
Oh Pom Pom. What delicious red boots and books to enjoy during your downtime from testing. Hope it is all going well.
Love those boots!
As for the book - well, wonderful Beatrix Potter country is only just North from here, and we often go. Maybe I should follow another example of yours and next time we are that way see if I can find Peter and if he wants to go exploring?
Will be great to see you if you ever do come this way.
Adorable boots! And that book looks wonderful, too. I've been to the Lake District once but didn't get to spend nearly enough time there. Anytime you're ready for a trip to England, I'm game. We'd better go before we get too old, though.
