Have you read the book The Little House? It's about a tiny house that gets enveloped in city building and then gets towed out to the country again. It's cute! It's happy! It's about a house and don't we love houses? A lot of my blog friends are decluttering, getting rid of excess "stuff" in their homes. I have not opened up a Freecycle account yet, but I'm warming to the idea. I like the concept of leaving things out on the porch and then coming home at the end of the day and seeing that the item/items are gone because they are useful to someone else. Do you like that idea?
I must buy birdseed today. Isn't this a cute little guy? I took the photo last spring. I do not know how the spotty background got there.
I'm eating tangelos. They are SO orange! Do you like orange? I DO! When I was a kid, against my mother's advice, I picked out an orange jacket (the coat I would wear all season) and I LOVED it. My mom is smart and really good with colors. I really don't look shiny in orange because I am fair. I didn't care. I LOVE ORANGE!
Take a look at THIS Easter dress! Isn't Daffy one of the miracles of spring? Blow the trumpet! HE is the KING! He saves! I love daffodils!
I love everything today. It's the last day of testing and my grade level is done just after lunch, so we teachers get to go home early! Woot! Woot!
Time for a shower, a wet pony tail, pedal pushers and NO SOCKS (it's going to be warm, remember?) I had to come back and edit because the English teacher in me realized that I spelled pedal wrong at first. Yikes!
Would you pray for my friend Dawn? Her buddy (her sweet dog Toby) died unexpectedly yesterday morning. She is so sad. Thank you.
Should we make iced tea? I think so!
Thank you for stopping by, checking up on me, and reading. You are such a nice person.

I adore that cutie little house :) What fun! But it would definitely look better out in the country under some trees. So glad you have a short work day and a LONG weekend, Pom! Enjoy!
I love that book Little House. In fact it sits next to me on a book shelf in my school room. I read it out loud to my kids so much it is very tattered. I hope you have a lovely Friday. I am spending the day with all of the grands at a kids museum and at the park. :)
I hope you have a lovely weekend. I hope it feel nice and warm.
So sorry for your friend Dawn and her little dog. I will say a prayer.
I am loving orange today - I have a virus and orange juice really feels nice on my throat, I think colours affect us deeply so I am thinking orange, yellow, warm, turmeric, mango, ginger, cinnamon! I am baking potatos with baked beans in red tomato sauce - yummy! I love my house today, it feels comforting, maybe I will put a picture up on my blog. Betty x
you are just happy, happy, happy today!
I love coming here, it's so happy! I love the thought of you in your orange coat. :)
Praying for your friend Dawn, send her hugs from me too. xx
I love orange, too, though it's a color I simply can't wear. Or can I? I'm planning on making an orange table cloth for our kitchen table, just as soon as I can figure out how to sew a round table cloth. I hope you have a glorious weekend!

I freecycled a pair of orange curtains last year - I wish I'd kept them now!I'm glad you're so happy - have a good weekend, Happy Person and thank you kindly for popping over to mine and leaving your sweet comment. x
If the orange coat could be worn with the red polka dot shoes that would be smashing high fashion! I haven;t see the little house book...but I have seen quaint houses marooned in the shadow of new and huge and often unsightly progress. Little houses often whisper of another time and place where even though the hour still had sixty minutes, they seemed to go more slowly...
I do like orange...am wearing an orangish top right now. You happy mood is contagious. :)
hahahahahahha you are such a happy little camper today aren't you !
Tangelos are the best ! I ate tonnes of them when I was pregnant with no. 1 child. I was sure that she would enter the world a bright shade of orange.
I am so happy that you have finished your testing and you can enjoy Spring. I am on the other hand waiting for some cool weather. It is still hot over here in Australia.
Hoping lots more happiness comes your way today Miss Pom Pom x
I love the little house in the photo! It would be just the right size for me, but maybe too small for hubby. :)
I'm drinking iced tea right now. I drink it year round!
Enjoy being finished with testing!
I just had a hot cup of sleepy time tea. (Yawn). Spring Break has officially begun. I can imagine how happy you are to be done with testing. I feel so sorry for your friend. Our dogs are really special friends.
Oh I see lots of lowly worms! What fun! I would love to be clomping around in gumboots (Kiwi) like yours, slurping tangelos & wearing a daffodil hat. It's a real marking point the no socks thing isn't it. I sometimes leave stuff at out gate with notes saying "free" (of course) & usually they disappear quite quickly. Things like spare pots from new plants & the such like. It feels a nice thing to do. Sometimes I leave free fruit for the boys walking home from school. They are always so sweetly grateful. Much love dear friend GK x0x0x
Yay for the happiness and contentment. You are always so full of the joys of Spring, PomPom. Your blog is like a breath of sweet spring air blowing away my cobwebs of despondency.
You are so fun. The little house is adorable.
Speaking of houses:
on my reading list is The Round House by Erdich, Louise I believe. Good.
The Tiny House . . . sounds lovely. I'll have to look for it. I love that top photo.
Have a lovely day.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
The Little House was my favorite picture book as a child, and then when I was just a little older, Andrew Henry's Meadow. Do you know it? I have always loved stories, and movies, in which the home is almost a character rather than a setting (Does that make sense?)
Loved your happy post, my friend!
What a happy post! Love the wee house, I love the orange and the daffy! Kit
I love orange too. And I love the daffie trumpets. I have a small bouquet of daffodils on my table, but they weren't from my garden. Too cold.
I liked your happy post, and you are a nice person too.
I'm going to have to check out that book, The Little House and Freecycle! Thanks for the fun tips!
Sandy :)
I need to check out that book...I start teaching 1st grade for a two day school starting tomorrow, and I keep thinking of some of your post!
Orange..now that is so my daughter, she did the same thing.
Enjoy time now that testing is done...and yes, we are de-cluttering around here too, if married girl will come get her stuff!! LOL
I just spent some time catching up again. You always inspire me so! Tomorrow I am going to prune my apple trees and paint a tree. I hope I can find my canvas that I bought especially for that tree. It's an idea I saw on Pinterest. I am also going to check out those patterns you mentioned in an earlier post. These days I'm all about hats, but perhaps I will throw a new and different project into the mix.
Blessings, Dear Pom Pom!
Deborah
I Freecycle all the time. I've gotten some good stuff that way and of course gotten rid of some, too! I love how upbeat your always are. You should be my next door neighbor. Then I'd never be blue again!
