The poor birdies! The feeders were empty, covered in snow. Yesterday the flakes kept falling, piling up and coating everything with sugary beauty. I put on my boots and trudged through the deep white snow.
Feeders full! Today I will perch on the sofa and rest. I'm very ready for my spring break, one week from now.
My brain is tired. My face is tired.
Soon . . . EASTER! JOY!

Our spring break started Friday. I am ready for a week of rest, but have so much "catching up" to do around the house! Our weather is still set on "Winter" despite the arrival of spring. *sigh*
I'm sure the birds will be very grateful. I feel so sorry for them when the weather makes it impossible for them to find food.
hooray for your kindness!
Wow, you got alot of snow! We got about 4 inches and most has melted by this morn. But still cold. We start Spring break April 1st and I am hoping for some warmer temps. :) Kit
Well done PomPom.
Too cold for spring! The birds will love you.
Good for you PP! :) Have a lovely break when it comes, and ROLL ON SPRING!! xx
Filled my feeders this morning, the birds are so happy now. Spring break starts at 10:30 Thursday morning.... woo hoo!!
Too cold for spring and waaaay too much snow, but the birds appreciate you.
I only put out bird seed when it's nasty weather; my thought is, they can forage when it's good weather. Don't want them to lose all their survival skills -grin-.
I'm looking forward to you getting a well-earned, restful spring break!
Thanks for feeding the birdies. Now enjoy your Sunday and thanks for sharing your day! :)
Wow, lots of snow on your side of the U.S. Hope the warmer weather comes to your side soon!
I hope your break is restful. And that spring actually catches up to the calendar. I'm sure your yard birds thank you for the food.13
Lucky birds!
Wishing you a happy Easter Week and happy Spring Break.

Happy Spring break to you Miss Pom Pom !
Living on the coast we never see snow nor have I ever played or held snow in my hands. I'm not really a skier but even if I wanted too it is around 7 hours away to find the snow fields. I tend to follow the sun on my breaks and head for the beach. To see your garden look so pretty is simply glorious to me ! xo
Enjoy your rest. We have had some snow flurries and not many birds to be seen - I am planning to put a feeder in the woods just behind my house to outwit the cats who lurk on the fence.
Oh how I remember that tired face feeling. I only got it when I was teaching regularly, and have completely forgotten how wearisome it was! I do hope you break will come in a sunny flash and all will be well with your world x
Brrrrr.....hope you are staying warm! That looks cold. And yay for full birdfeeders!!!
Wow! That is a lot of snow. So good of you to trudge out to fill the bird feeders.
Goodness I amazed at the contrasting vistas of your yard Pom. Seeing all your snow I am feeling so grateful to be able to garden all year round here and our birds never go hungry. I have been watching the wax eyes feasting on the ripe figs this week..they are so tiny & so thrilled. Luckily there are enough figs for us & them..if I'm quick. Wishing you swift brain ease & sending much love my friend x0x0x

How lucky the birds are to have you. I can't wait to hear about your spring break. I hope it's full of marvelous adventures--digging around in your garden (if all that snow has melted by then), reading good books, making some art ... And napping!

You always get more snow in Denver than what we get up here. Don't know why. Poor birds, you are right. Yes I will miss the lilacs, but we still have some left. We will enjoy the water feature in their place. Happy Easter.
