Hello, flower people! Look at the sky! The wind is blowing hard this morning and there is a nip in the air, but the flowers around me are glorious!
One rose! We have ONE rose.
The iris and the peonies are partnering.
And my neighbor has a poppy for you.
This cutie was trying to keep his bearings (or is this a her?) in the wind.
I knocked on the fairy door. She must be sleeping in her nutshell bed. She didn't answer.
I have to rush off to school, but this lazy guy seems to have ALL DAY to lounge upon toadstools.
I wish I could sit on a toadstool and read a book.
At least Joe Scarecrow is still on the job. He's eye balling the spotty ball, though. He'd like to give it a kick. Yes, his brain is always mulling things over.
I am happy to hear that you all are hearing the "woo" of poetry and you will join me in my summer of verse. The days are ticking away and very soon, I shall be staying home where the French toast smells good in the morning and the scent of cleaning solvents perfumes the air. Three day weekend for Americans. Woo hoo! Have a happy Friday, warm humans.

Fairies and french toast... sounds like a lovely weekend! I'll be spending mine at the coast. Right now it's pouring outside and it's probable it will do that a lot where we are going. Oh well. What's a little water at the ocean!
Blessings, Debbie
It's May, it's May, the lovely month of May...
Enjoy your weekend and your soon to be summer break!

Your yard is pretty today. I wish I could lay around on a toadstool all day, or be the fairy sleeping in a walnut shell.
I am glad for the long weekend. I hope you get rested this weekend. I am looking forward to you being on summer vacation so you can think up fun things for me to think about. :)
I have to go back and read your post about poetry.
Have a lovely day, my friend.
Your patch is looking so bright and cheery and pretty this morning!
Say hello to your little fairy friend for me -- next time she comes out to chat ;).
And Happy Memorial Day to you -- enjoy this long weekend!

We have dome wind here today, but still lots of glorious sunshine. Your photos are lovely and would love the fairies to have a lil door in our garden :) Enjoy your long weekend xx
Enjoy your long weekend. We get one next weekend.
Oh I have a (not so) secret wish for a fairy door! I love the pathway to yours (or 'hers', I should say).
Perhaps I should make one...

Your flowers are all so pretty. So glad you shared them. The little fairy door is Adorable!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Glorious flowers, Pom! I love the little yellow ones, but don't know what they are. Peonies are so rich. Have a happy weekend!
At least you keep those gnomes doing something constructive -- like reading books on toadstools! Happy Memorial Day weekend! (It looks like rain here!)
I'm not a poetry person - I just don't understand it! so will watch your posts with interest and maybe will learn something new. Have a lovely long weekend. We are all very excited for next weekend Queens Jubilee celebrations - at work they are organising bunting (I will be working the Saturday) Bettyx
Happy Memorial DAy Weekend! Your flower photos are beautiful - such a great time of year :)
It's fun how spring is still springing even though it isn't so much here anymore. And I have never seen such pretty colors in tomato cages but they are so Pom Pom. Love 'em.
Oh look at the alium too- I have bulbs of those somewhere in the garage- I bet it's too late to plant them now! Is it too late to investigate this summer of poetry of yours? Sounds fabulous! Will read on down when chance arises- thanks for prayers- please don't stop yet!!
J just ordered a fairy door and two windows from Plow and Hearth to put at the bottom of a pecan tree in my yard. There's already a face on it. I'll post a photo on my blog when I get it all hung. I wanted to buy a gnome too, but three of them cost $50! I think I'll look at Dollar General next time I'm going by.
