Bears, Flowers, and Sweet Treats

Edward Bear says, "Hello!  Happy Valentine's Day!" I am up early this Monday morning and I am thinking about all the teddy bears and chocolate (flowers, too!) that will be carried to school tomorrow.  We are going to the computer lab, so it won't be hard to patrol the teddy bear brigade.  "Put it in your locker, please."
Even though we have encouraged our own children to carry their childhood stuff to their own homes, we still have a basement full of bears.

I hope you receive some pretty blooms instead.  I am dreaming of garden flowers more than purchased flowers.

Have a little chocolate AND some strawberries.
Today I am going to read the students a lovely book titled Somebody Loves You Mr. Hatch.  Have you read it?  It's a feel good story that addresses paying attention to people.  Oh, I love THAT, don't you?  Maybe if we paid more attention to each other, people wouldn't do such weird things to GET attention.  What do you think?
My Valentine is now in Australia and I don't feel like eating sweets.  I think I will eat more pink grapefruit.  I have been peeling them and marveling at the juicy pink sections, gobbling them up!
Pass around warm hugs and true encouraging words.  That will make the people in your orb feel cared for.  (BIG HUG and focused attention coming your way this Valentine's Day!)

Have a lovely day today. I will look for that book, it sounds wonderful.
Yes, flowers keep calling my name. I miss them so much.

Awe, what sweet bears, and it is obvious which were the most loved and played with. I'm glad your Bear Patrol is of the stuffed variety!

I'm pondering what to do for my fambly. For sure chocolate dipped strawberries, but I want to make a yummy dinner. Thinking, thinking, thinking....

We'll be visiting our army son and his wife in April. I'm beginning to gather together some of his things to take to him. His favorite blanky, photo albums, toys, and his favorite bears. I'll admit that I'll have a hard time giving his treasures to him as I'm just as attached to them as he is (was).

I do believe you've left your mark on that sweet little face in your header; especially those bright, blue eyes!

One more thing, I keep forgetting to tell you that you're most welcome for the books. I'm so glad you like them. I'm enjoying seeing the adventures of the Willow Boys as they travel around the world.

How I do wish we lived close enough to visit regularly. You'd do this melancholic heart good.

There's just no such thing as too many teddies, is there? We love teddies! Out of all my kiddo's childhood toys, the only ones I saved for them (aside from some handmade doll clothes and a doll of Jessie's) are the teddies. I think I should put them in shadow boxes and give them back to E & J -- maybe on their birthdays? Pretty sure Jess would like that, but not so sure about my big man son ;). Oh well . . .
And happy belated Valentine's Day wishes to you, Lovable Darling ;)!

Happy Valentine's Day to you too! I love all your bears. We have some of the same ones. I don't have Bear in the Big Blue House though. That was such a neat show!

Grapefruits? I can't get enough of them. YUM!

Blessings!
