Wow! September!

Hello!  Even though I planted my carrots way too close together, they are starting to look normal and they taste delicious!

The Peter Rabbit garden was successful!

Lunch was divine (of course I had a little Ranch dip, too!)

The September sun is magic, don't you think?

The pie-faced sunflowers are like golden tutus against the blue sky!

Even the morning glories were awake this afternoon.
After I finish my work that I do for Bill, I walk down to the bank and the post box.  Yes, I felt EXTREMELY blessed to be outdoors!

Thank you for your kind wishes regarding my "procedure"! I am happy to report that I am A-OK!
Two lovely books came today!  Yay!

Plum Cake's birthday is soon!  I started this little Bronco bonnet for her last year and today (brace yourself!) I finished it!  I can't wait to try it on her cute little round head tomorrow.

God bless you for stopping in.  Here is a big smile for you (and I wanted you to see my new purple spectacles!)
Take care, royal nice person!

You of course are beautiful. I love the smile and the purple glasses.
I love that little bonnet you made I am sure it will look so cute on her. Your lunch looks good too. I am so glad everything is good and you are having a good week.

Glad you are A-OK! Love your new specs! I planted my carrots too close together and too late in the spring... the are growing but ever so slowly! You can never go wrong with ranch dressing!

Pom Pom, MY new spectacles are also purple! :-)
I'm glad you showed us several views of those sunflowers. They are just superb. Aren't those the ones you said you are tired of springing up as volunteers? I wish I had some doing that...
And carrots! They do look like the best sort. They remind me of the ones my grandpa would let us pull out of his garden and wash at the faucet outside, and -- CRUNCH! SWEET!

Yes! Ranch dressing on almost everything! :)
Beautiful photos. I'm especially partial to the sunflowers.
My blue morning glories never made flowers! What's up with that?
Nice glasses on a sweet lady!
Now I'll have to check out The Mousewife. Let me know how you like the Fanny Crosby book! :) Fun to see what you're up to!

your glasses are very nice. I am just choosing some this week as need a prescription for reading and computer. I don't know what the over 50s procedure is (I am over 50 and seem to have escaped it!) but whatever it was I'm glad you're still intact! You have so much going on - gardening, books, grandchildren - enjoy your books. Betty x

Love your silver fringe, and sooooo coooooool purple glasses frames! Yessssssssssssssss!!!

I just had fringe cut, in my "pewter" hair. Now learning to get used to it, and to make it "be" proper fringe. After years of being brushed over to the left, from a right part. ,-)

And your photos are gorgeous!

But I really, really, really love your purple frames!!!

I have specs of various colors because I buy cheap ones at the dollar store. Right now I'm wearing my dark brown ones that make me look very studious. Out in the world, I wear red glasses. One day I'll get me some purple ones, too!

Look at your sparkly eyes and your shiny hair!! I love your hair. If/when I turn "gray," I truly wish I would have white hair like yours. But I will end up like my mama, with a sprinkling of gray around, and mousy brown into my 80s :) Ah well. I looked at your sunflower photo (doing their flower dance in their yellow tutus!!!) just as I finished reading Leslie's Wayside blog, with her sunny sunflower at the top. They are so alike. Such a happy flower.
