Christmas Eve and A Little Sad

We're sad around here and I'll tell you about it after Christmas.

So, I'm not very bouncy and I'm a tiny bit tired of all the extra food and lack of counter space in the kitchen. Soon we'll have the big eating day, family noisy day, and hopefully some pondering amidst the hustle and bustle. So, I'm planning to have sweet quiet in the morning, before the "to dos" begin and our people arrive. Meet me here if you have time, friends. I have some wrapping, some cleaning, some baking to take on right now.

Call me crabby, but I'm actually looking forward to taking the tree down and thinking about Spring. Yikes. Winter just began.
Tomorrow is my 200th post! Amazing, huh? On Christmas Day!
Please stay safe. Enjoy your holiday "doings" and KNOW that you are thought of. I'm praying for blessings to blow your way. See you tomorrow! (BIG GIGANTIC HUG!)

I just came home from church, and "here" you are... Being sad, you can participate better in the aspect of Christmas that is "Rachel weeping for her children." Even the birth of Christ brought a sword.

But His birth into our world will ultimately be the salvation of it, where there is no crying or pain. I know you know.

Sometimes it's just that way this time of year. I'm wrapping presents and yet I don't want to. I need to put a breakfast casserole in the refrig. for morning and I will. Will take all to my daughters tomorrow for Christmas morning. She does not live far. I am so thankful for everything. Praying for you and yours.

Sending you a Merry Christmas hug, dear friend! I have empathy. Things do not seem like Christmas for us this year, being out of our house and our family not all being together. I guess I am ready for spring, too!

Love you much!
