Sunday felt like fall and we rustled up some hats for the girlies, set off down the road, and viewed some splendor.
We believe in pacifiers in this family. If you want to suck, suck away. Don't they look like happy girls?
"Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
But only he who sees
takes off his shoes."
Elizabeth Barrett Browning
This fall I do want to take off my shoes as I marvel at the beauty around me. Driving home from school yesterday, the rain poured down. I don't want rain ruining the trees' dresses. It doesn't. They say if you don't like the weather in Colorado, just wait five minutes. It's true. We go from hot to cold . . . FAST.
Off to school. Parent/student book club at Borders tonight. Cozy (cosy) and fun.
Have yourself a bowl full of fall today. It's free.

Cute girls! They do look happy. I bet they enjoyed their walk.
How is it that I missed three of your posts this past week?! Beautiful photos as always! Isn't fall glorious?! We have weather quite like you. One day hot the next day so cold you wonder how it could have been hot the day before. God sure makes our lives interesting.
Blessings, dear friend!
Deborah
You certainly fit a lot into your day..babies, walking, book clubs...!
Your parcel is finally on it's journey from St. Ives to Colorado. I wonder what other parcels it will jostle with for space and attention. What an adventure! Will it chat to it's neighbour and get aquainted? Will it sleep quietly all the way? ... All I hope is that it arrives quickly and brings a little happiness :o)
Lovely indeed. I hope the book club went well, what book did you read? I love the rainy days and fall is easily the favored season. All of the flora put on their most lovely attire for one last beautiful dance before winter!
Thanks for visiting! Elizabeth, I walked with the babies on Sunday. I have to rush home from school to walk during the week - it's hard. The book club meets just once a month. We met at the book store. It was fun. Carolyn, you are such a sweetie pie to send me a parcel! I can't wait! Hello to dear Deborah and Brad, you are such a faithful blog reader! SusanB, I'm happy to have found a new knitty friend who knows Gigi and SuKnitWitty! So fun!
Isn't autumn the best? I loved what you said about marvelling at all the beauty and you've got two of my favourite quotes in there too! Fabulous x x
I just loved the EBB quote and have blogged about it myself. Yesterday I was teaching children about why you say Fall and we say Autumn! Such a beautiful season x
Pompom - thanks for your comment on my blog - yes, I think that 'supply teacher' in the uk is wequivalent to 'substitute teacher' in the USA. Some teachers work for agencies and the schools ring the agency if someone is off sick/on a course. Others [like me] just have their name with 3 or 4 schools and only work in them. The first system is good if you need lots of regular work/income. The second is better for me because I have got to know the staff/routines in just a few familiar schools and I can fit my teaching round church work. the Lord always provides work when I need money - and time when I have stuff to do for Him!!
Ya'll are wearin SWEATERS....I wanna wear a SWEATER. Not quite cool enough yet in Texas. Loved all your FIRE colors in Colorado. Sure glad there weren't any FIREANTS! Suck Away...girls...I call em STOPPERS...Jack likes his, too.
So happy to be able to visit again =) I'm still having a more and more wonderful stay in America. I enjoy the fall look of your blog. It's very much fall here too. Leaves in pretty colors, long walks, rain and wind and cute dogs in pink sweaters =)
Thanks for praying and being so sweet =)
