Hello to YOU!

Hello!  Do you have some ironing for Mrs. Tiggy Winkle to do?  Kelli brought her back from England.  They enjoyed a two week trip and she brought me lots of sweet things.  She said, "Mom was born in the wrong country! Everything I see I know she would love!"  So true!

Do you like this blouse I bought from Walmart?  I do!  So cheap, too!

I've been painting some friends.  Do you like their clothes?  How about their hairdos?  😂

One day I ironed for a long time.  Yay!
I also made more pants.  The ones I made around the time of my last post have been worn and worn!  I love the pattern (Pants #1 from 100 Acts of Sewing).
And yesterday our Jenny had to go to the ER because she stumbled on her porch steps and tweaked her knee.  Poor Rose!  We are praying that she heals fast!

I love August even though I have been thinking I can't bear to wait for fall.  Everything grows in August and I know I am going to have so many pumpkins! We've been enduring such hot weather.  I know a lot of people have in this hemisphere.
Soon I am going to go up north and see my mom.  I can't wait to see her!
Have you had a nice summer (or winter if you live down under)?

We had a long wet Spring, and a lovely early summer, but August is our hot, dry part of the summer. I'll definitely be ready for fall!

It was sweet of Kelli to bring you a Mrs Tiggywinkle. I wish I would have visited England or better yet lived there for part of my life..
I like your painting of your friends.
I hope you are have a lovely trip when you go see your Mom.
Poor Jenny. I hope she's doing better.

Hello dear lady! Happy to see your post pop up! Sorry about the tweaked knee...ouch! I love Tiggywinkle! I could have been born in England, too, but then would I appreciate it as much as I do not living there continually?? Happy August to you!

Your pretty painted girls remind me so much of the package-around-the-world event you began, and the painting we all did for that. Such fun! The pants are SO cute. I've really thought about buying that pattern. I know I would enjoy that style. I'm going north to see my mother soon also -- hoping for cooler weather there :) Take care, dear PomPom!

Love your summer report! If Kelli knew me, she'd know that, like you, *I* was born in the wrong country! I'm a huges Beatrix Potter fan, and I would love to have Mrs Tiggy-Winkle do some ironing for me. That's a wonderful painting of your friends. You could start a line of greeting cards.

I love your treasures from England. I still have a fear of sewing from high school. Mean ole nun berated me so badly in front of everyone. I am gun shy of sewing machines. I would love to live near someone who would help me with hemming things. Your pants are too cute. Give your mom an extra hug and kiss for me. Mine has been gone since 2001. I love the painting. Ouch on the er visit. That is certainly no fun at all.

We are in a heat wave. Three wildfires burning. Being somewhat contained but the air is so heavy and smokey.

I enjoy coming by. Take care. I hope something good happens to you today.

Thank you for your comment on my blog, dear PomPom. I've been so busy all summer and just can't keep up with blogger.

I hope that Jenny's knee heals really fast.

I really love your drawing of all the pretty ladies. You are so talented.
The only thing that I've been busy with this summer is taking care of huge gardens with the weeding and harvesting ad making pickles for our Church Vegetable market in the fall.

I've been pickling loads of cucumbers and they are still producing in great abundance.

Enjoy the rest of the summer. Fall will be sneaking up on us shortly. Take care and have a blessed rest of summer.
Hugs, Julia
