Swoosh! Summer!

Hi Everyone!  Do you like Winnie (Kelli's dog)?  She likes YOU! I had fun times staying with dogs and girls!  I DID swim at Jenny's and I got a lot of sun.  It's rare for me to get a suntan because I am indoorsy.

Look at the rhubarb!  We got two harvests!  I'm hoping for one more!

I went up to my friend's house for lunch.  She lives in the mountains and her house is so big and cozy!

I'm still knitting on this patchy blanket.

And I am working on a quilt as you go hexi throw AND I am embroidering this happy house.

Are you enjoying a lot of summer fruits and vegetables?  My sister is swamped with squash!

We had fun on the 4th of July and I have really liked summer, but now I am feeling the pinch and crunch of fall obligations.  I kind of want to sit around with nothing to do.  That sounds nice.

I hope you've been up to joyful things and that you feel purposeful and deeply loved.

All my rhubarb died and I didn't even get one stalk. Yours looks lovely.
Love how your patchy blanket is coming along. I found the pattern but haven't started it yet. Have to finish a few other projects first.

You are a busy PomPom. I like your embroidery. I never learned to embroider but I admire the results. The quilt looks very interesting. I hope you'll show the finished project in due time. It looks difficult.
Happy end of Summer days! Autumn is coming ♥♥♥

Wow you have been busy. I would love to house sit where there was a dog, pool, and kids. Love all of your projects.

I've had three good pickings from my rhubarb. The apple and pear trees have not cropped at all this summer. I love all your colourful crafting ❤️👍🙏

I also would like to sit around with nothing to do! Must be part of turning 60, haha. I'm glad the heat of summer is nearly over. I'm ready for cooler weather! All your handwork looks so so good, PomPom! The mitred square blanket is lovely, as are your hexis. Good to hear from you!

It's good to hear from you. You do stay busy with hands. It's nice to have something to show for your time. I like those hexi's. Don't tell gardeners but I always wonder why grow squash. :) Hope the rest of August is fruitful for you!

Oh! I love rhubarb and have lost my source for it now....sigh. What a fun piece to embroider and the quilt should be fun to make, too. It sounds like a good summer...and I wish I could sit around and do nothing for a bit, too.....good luck to both of us with that wish. Hugs, Queenie (as you call me)....lol
When I set up our Prime network I plugged myself in as Queenie and thought of you! lol. xo Diana

Love it when all my 'old' bloggy pals do a post! Sitting around doing nothing in my retirement seemed like a pipedream! Loving your handcrafts, especially the embroidery. So great to 'see' you again. Xxx

I hope you get some more rhubarb before the summer whooshes all away... What do you like to do with your rhubarb, Pom Pom? All the regular fruit one can eat fresh and simple, but rhubarb must be cooked into something, right?

Long ago I had a healthy rhubarb plant but some family members actually encouraged me to get rid of it because they worried about the associated sugar consumption. I've never forgiven them for that -- haha!

I like all your handwork. I like the fruit bowl. I think I might like rhubarb, I've never tasted it. and, although I am not a dog person, I like Winnie. Cute post. I enjoyed it.

Hi, Pom Pom! I just thought I would stop by and say hi. I absolutely love your photos and your embroidery. Right now I am heading upstairs to gather my cross stitch stuff — time to pick it back up again. Hopefully I will have some photos to share soon. Anyway, come by and visit anytime! My blog is sort of a mess right now but it is there and I would love some visitors!
