Timothy is on the hunt for cozy spots. Here he is in the crook of my arm.
Kelli's kittens are getting big and their favorite pastime is warming their striped bods by the fire. Aren't they cute? Their names are Enola and Mabel Watson. I hope you have a fire to cuddle up to. I have a space heater. Sigh.
I went to a one night retreat last weekend and we painted rocks. We're just about to the end of our leafy fall. I forgot to show you how glorious the trees are.
Jolly is on his way back to me. Here's the last post from Ireland
Notice the little dog in Jolly's picture above? He doesn't have that dog anymore. He hasn't been able to face adopting another nice little dog since he lost his best friend a few years ago. The dogs he's afraid of are BIG dogs with sharp teeth.
When he returns I will make a video of his book so you can see each page. I'll draw a name to determine the hostess who will be choosing his new wife. We won't force them to get married right away, but when they do, you will see that, too. Thank you so much for following his journey and thank you to the hostesses who so willingly participated in Jolly's adventure with gusto.
I hope November is treating you well. Just a little suggestion: God is the giver of all good gifts, so try to take the "world" glasses off and look at things around you with eyes that recognize who is the Boss.
Thank you for popping by!

Beautiful Fall colors in the trees. Not happening here in Texas yet. What a fun story line with Jolly. Perhaps his courtship for a wife is out there traveling as well. As I get back in the swing of blogging again, I am finding comfort in your words of faith. Thank-you.
Has been fun watching Jolly hunt for a wife. Stone painting retreat sounds nice.
Yay for the nice banana bunt cake. It looks delicious. As it gets cooler, the kitties know just what to do...
I wish Mr. Jolly a safe return to your home. I'm sure he will be anxious to tell you all about his adventures across the pond. I'm looking forward to seeing which wife he takes for himself.
Your trees still are beautiful. Most of the color is gone since we had hard frosts this past week.
Take care,
Hugs,
Julia
I forgot to mention that I love your rock and the message you painted on.
Julia
I've just come from another blog who painted rocks. :)
The fall colors are so beautiful.
Amen to that last encouragement dear lady! No fireplace here...
I have enjoyed the gorgeous Autumn foliage so much but today the wind is blowing and heavy rain falling and I don't think many trees will have leaves left tomorrow.
Yay you, making a Bundt cake that came out whole!!
I made Lebkuchen and didn't read the recipe properly and it turned out anyway.
I love Timothy's sly look as he cuddles up to you.
You always have fun here! I love your painted rock. Fall seems to be fading fast here but I think it may have hung on a few weeks longer. I have a rose bush and bridal bush that were here for years and they have been enterwined with the prettiest fall colors. I don't want to see them disappear. I am going to be catching up with everyone for a longtime. I don't know how I fell behind. But having fun catching up. Looking foward to more of Jolly's story.
Enola and Mabel?? I'm curious as to how those two got such interesting names. I do love them, and I am not a good one for coming up with names. Do you have someone in your family who's especially creative in that department, or is it done by team effort of many good namers?
I miss woodstoves, too. But I appreciate the Heat Dish my kids gave me. :) I love the rock art! I'm glad we won't be "forcing" Jolly to marry quickly, ha ha. Yes, I just finished reading "Immortal" by Clay Jones, and it was one more encouragement to look more and more through an eternal lens and to spend more time with our Heavenly Father. Enjoy the season!
That's good advice, Pom :) I keep a little card on my desk where I sit each day, reminding me what I should "think on these things" -- things that are True, Honorable, Right, Pure, Lovely, of good Reputation, Excellent and Praise-worthy. I ask myself if I am letting my mind ponder things that are the opposite: False, Dishonorable, Wrong, Impure, Ugly, of bad Reputation, Low, or worthy of Censure. So much of what we dwell on, are that second list, sadly. I've been trying to change that. It has helped.
I've loved following along with Jolly! Safe travels home, Mr. Postman.
Super blog
Gorgeous banana bread!
I like the idea of painted stone.
Timothy and the kittens are adorable! I love tabbies. Congratulations on the Bundt cake. It's sooooo disappointing when they get stuck. Your autumn photos are glorious.
Oh dear, is Jolly still working his cold way through sorting stations and post offices? I will be praying for a safe arrival soon. Enola and Holmes - we watched the Enola Holmes movie a while ago. Anagram of alone. Are the kittens Holmes fans? (Happy Advent)
Your leaves are so beautiful. Our have long since dropped.
Very good advice Pommy!
Some wonderful colour in your post.
Happy December Wishes.
All the best Jan
I got interested in Jolly's adventures via Angela's blog and have checked in here a few times for news, but then I realized that poor Jolly must be overwhelmed with delivering parcels from on-line ordering and then Christmas parcels, and I bet he works really late and barely has time to think of his conquests! We are going to have to wait, aren't we?
Happy Christmas to you and yours and Jolly!
Just stopping by to say Happy Christmas to you and yours.
All the best Jan
A Happy New Year to you, PP! Tell that pesky Postman to sort himself out and leave you alone now!
How fun to send Jolly on a journey to Ireland, what a delightful thing to do! I hope you are doing well and enjoying lovely winter days. We are getting a lot of snow here this winter. I see you haven't posted in a while, I hope you are doing okay. Wishing you a Happy New Year, and hugs from Idaho!
