Post Christmas

I hope your Christmas was very happy!  I'm leaving all the decor up for a few more days (Brad's family is coming Monday) and then I'll start packing it away again.  I count it a miracle that I'm always enthusiastic about tucking all the cute stuff in the boxes.  Maybe December 26th makes me feel like I've been given more time because Christmas is over.  That's a little silly considering I'm not that busy.  I like to think about gardens even though it is way too early.  I'll plan flowers anyway.  Will you?  You can always pop over to our down under friends' blogs and see all of their flowers.  Wow!
My neighbor gave me Frangos (above) and they are so lovely. I didn't have to make fudge!  I still want to make some fudge, though.  🐷
I loved seeing the Christmas Star!
Oh, I do hope you are able to savor some quiet moments, drink in the LOVE and mercy coming your way, every moment.
God be with you!  xo

Merry Christmas, even the day after. My decorations will stay until the New Year, unless I get anxious to put them away. I enjoy the pretty lights on the tree. We off and running toward a new year, and we hope that it will be a kind one. We always dream of our gardens, don't we?

Always drinking in the love and mercy that comes my way, sweet Pom Pom. Alas, I didn't see the Bethlehem Star as it was shrouded in clouds. Your flowers will be there in a couple of months. I must say the flowers down here are dancing in a merry way. See you in the new lady, beautiful lady.

I didn't make fudge either this year but one of my DILs made white chocolate fudge with cranberries. It was so good.
Too many clouds for us to see any star.
Happy New Year to you and your family!!

Dear Pompom, It has been a lovely peace-filled Christmas and a rather quiet one. I've been drinking all the love and mercy that has come my way and I'm still drinking and can't get enough. I, unfortunately, couldn't see the Bethlem star because of overcast skies. We had a brown Christmas and it rained on Christmas day.

Stay safe and well.
Hugs, Julia

Pom Pom, a beautiful post, as usual. I'll start tomorrow putting away the Christmas things. I too am thinking about gatdening and flowers. Just Googled today when to plant potatoes here in NC and that is late February. That's not too far away. We saw a bit of the Christmas star...too many trees to look through. Your picture is beautiful.

I haven't had a frango in years. Lucky you!

My decorations will come down when they come down! I need the light in the winter and two or three trees (smaller ones) will stay up through February or maybe the equinox. Snowmen will turn to Santas. Determined to keep the lights going!

Love your red and white medalions!

Yes!! I'm already thinking about flowers too! I have a large flowerbed in front of my home that is going to be emptied out soon. It has some flowering bushes in it, Iris' and lots of spring flowers. I did not plant them, they were there when I moved in. I wish to fill it with flowers that will last all summer.

I'm glad you saw the Christmas star! It was overcast here. Yes, I'm enjoying my little tree for a few more days. My few decorations don't take long to take down. Praying for peace among the people of our nation as we enter this new year. The Lord will help us! :) Hugs and love from Minnesota.

I watched the Christmas star (planets) for many nights, leading up to the 21st,as they drew closer and closer. It was wonderful! On the 21st I went out to look, and thought it was too cloudy, and was disappointed. But then I saw it, over the clouds, shining out! Wonderful.

I was glad to put away Christmas this year. No grandkids around. I was ready for the new year and new starts. I'm doing a reading challenge! I'm hoping my heart and mind can get back into reading again.

Happy New Year, PomPom!!

We had too many clouds to see the big star. It was very disappointing. Are you covered in snow? I've just tramped across from Lisa's in the snow and thought I'd have to kick it all off my boots when I got to you. We had no fudge this year. A friend usually brings me two slabs of hers when we have our mulled stuff party, but as that wasn't possible this year, no fudge. I did think of trying to make some myself, but the delight at having a less-effort-Christmas won! A very happy New Year to you and yours x
