I took this bird feeder down because the squirrel was using it. This squirrel is so determined. He took a mad leap after he finished feasting. He survived the fall onto the driveway.
The trees are gorgeous right now and the temperatures are so friendly.
I'm keeping track of what I have planted because when everything gets BIG, I tend to forget about the seeds.
I harvested the rhubarb. I made rhubarb strawberry butter. This is how much ⬇️
I've been taking wee naps in the sunshine. I think the vitamin D makes me feel spry.
I hope you are doing okay. It seems that all of the guidelines in response to "the virus" keep changing. It's a little difficult to decipher the best way to proceed.
I am not afraid because I know that God is faithful to His promises.
He's wise.
I do believe that His Spirit is constantly moving in and around us and I wish to recognize the unseen. I want eyes for those particular happenings.
Right now, I am very hungry for the pot roast, potatoes, and carrots that are in the oven. It's a funny sunny day meal, but delicious!
I can't seem to get the blankets on our bed just right. We are either too hot or too cold. I'll keep experimenting.
I have been really appreciating my clothes lately. I have lots of comfy outfits that are perfectly suited for staying at home.
I like baggy linen pants, soft t-shirts, boxy sweatshirts, and squishy soled shoes.
I have also been wearing dresses. I have several summer frocks and I bought some stretchy shorts to wear under them and that was a very good idea - so comfortable!
I have been wearing my hair in a ponytail, but one of my hairdressers called today, so I made an appointment. Yay!
What is your favorite "stay at home" outfit?
Thank you for popping in. God be with you.
Oh! Thank you for answering my "sleepy" question! I love to hear about your ways.

No, Ive never seen lilacs like those. They are beautiful.
My comfortable clothes like always is jeans and tee-shirts.
Haven't planted any plants yet, waiting till June 1 but I do have lots of sunflower seeds that have popped up and look forward to planing them.
My rhubarb is not doing well at all this year. The stalks are all very thin.
Lucky you to have so much planting done. I finally got after my front and back patio areas and have both planted now. So far, am loving this condo....never thought I would live in a condo-nor did I want to---but I love this one.
I wear a lot of summer dresses and wear the spandex shorts under them, too...and they all have some sleeve to them to cover my fat upper arms. lol Hey- I am nothing if I am not honest. lol xo Diana
The temperature has been "friendly" here, too! Today it's actually a little too too... But I heard that it snowed on our son's garden in Colorado Springs on the weekend!
Oh, and yes, I think I saw a lilac like that, in Oregon when I was walking with my granddaughter one day. I will look for the picture! But... my picture is not a closeup like yours that shows the brilliant lines and colors. And if I remember right, most of the branches of that lilac bush had reverted - or something? and were not laced like that....
I made a wonderful rhubarb crisp last night. You look already for planting and summer! Gorgeous!
It's looking pretty around your place with all the flowers. Wow what a lilac. New to me , i have never seen those. Please stay safe. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Comfy pants (soft) not jeans and roomy tops are my favorite stay at home clothes. That lilac is a beauty. I'm hunting down one to plant in a spot where a substantial bush has gone and died on us. Your meal sounded as comfy cozy as my stay at home clothes.
I've never been too sure of the difference between a fruit butter and a jam. Maybe one is thicker than the other?
Your squirrel is very chubby. I think he's been eating too much birdseed. Good thing you took the feeder down.
That lilac is absolutely stunning dear Pom Pom. So beautiful & I'll bet it smells just gorgeous. I didn't mind our lockdown time - things are more relaxed here now & we can go out & about but social distancing still. I loved being in my ratty old home clothes & gardening clothes & not worrying about anyone popping in unannounced. Our weather is chilly now so its winter clothes & comfy things for me.
Its good to know you are safe and well and enjoying your garden, the flower display is really beautiful and the lilac with the white edge to its petals is lovely, I have not seen one like it before. Our country is just taking small steps towards coming out of the lockdown but I feel it is too soon... we have pretty much self isolated throughout, our boys gave up their supermarket jobs to keep us all safe, hubby is furloughed and I am still working from home, we are lucky … we also now get priority supermarket booking (we hadn't asked before, silly).. due to hubby health condition needs to stay safe and we all are having wonderful walks and sunshine and barbeques. Betty x
p.s. comfortable clothes for me are my new kaftans, floating and cool and I am getting bigger beneath since the gym closed!
I have never seen a lilac like that - it is beautiful! Glad to hear you are getting through your days well. It is a blessing to have a garden to keep busy in. I look forward to seeing all your blooms while I am in the cold of winter!
Hi Pom Pom,
it's good to back blogging and catching up with my friends, lady I like your style! Naps in the sunshine, comfy clothes and squishy shoes sound perfect for these warm sunny days. I'm always looking for linen type midi dresses to wear but there aren't too many around. Of course all I do is scour the internet, no real life shopping allowed yet. Good tip bout the shorts, thanks.
M @ turning the page.
No, I never saw this type of Lilac until now. It looks interesting.
Squirrels have been digging tons of my tulips and every year, I get less and less. I also have stopped feeding the birds because of the squirrels taking over.
I have harvested rhubarbs also but my garden is not all planted yet. I'm trying more raised beds this year. Your flowers are pretty and colorful.
Hugs, Julia
Hello, I love the lilacs and the flowers you are planting. It is a great idea to write down all the flowers. I tend to forget things like that as well. My go to comfy clothes that I am wearing every day now is jeans and t-shirt or camp shirt. Will go to denim bermuda shorts soon. Hope you have a great day and enjoy the rest of your week1
so nice to have a garden and so much beauty!!!! My fave outfit is a nice top (I have ones from ll bean that I really like) and my white skirt that goes just over the knees. Super comfortable but nice looking for daily walks.
Your photos are lovely, and that lilac...wow! I've never seen one so colourful.
That is a beautiful lilac and I'll bet it smells wonderful.
Hmmm, I had never thought about spandex shorts under a dress. I did buy a dress and a skirt to wear this summer, but it hasn't been warm enough to wear them yet.
I have been comfy in yoga pants and a soft top recently.
I would love your recipe for the rhubarb butter, please?Stunning lilac. Wonder if cuttings would work?I've been tying my hair up too for want of a hairdresser!Have a great gardening weekend my friend.xxx
Your photos are so lovely! Thank you for your visit. Always fun being here. The rhubarb butter looks yum! Have a beautiful weekend, it is coming up quickly. HUGS xo
True what your neighbors say if this lilac flower plant is really very beautiful! I'm amazed by the fertility of the flowers and the contrasting color ..., are you diligent in giving them fertilizer so that it grows so fertile?
I am back to my summer clothing routine: skirts and light tops. I prefer very lightweight cotton skirts, the flowy kind, with built in thin linen slips underneath. They are so comfortable. I dislike pants now. I used to wear capris in the summer, but no more!
All your flowers are just wonderful! What a bright, happy array you will have soon!
