Stars

The blossoms are here!  We don't have any blossoming trees (sad) but the neighbors do!  Yay!

A bunch of lilacs were hanging over the fence out on my walking path, so I helped myself.
The show was SO good!  The grands all played their parts with enthusiasm and grace.  Kelli loves all the little actors and actresses with a HUGE big love.  God blessed all three performances.

Millie said, "Mom!  You told me that when the show was over you would make an appointment for me to get my hair cut!"  Kelli whipped out the scissors and gave Millie Rose this cute look.  Aw.  I love that face!
A cousin swim at the rec center.
Reading this for book club made for a nice long conversation.  Anne Elliot is a keeper.
The pansies below are now in the garden.

I planted lots of seeds yesterday.  Next weekend I'll plant more flowers.  Our growing season here in Colorado is short but almost always prosperous.
God be with you, kind visitor.  I hope your May has been sweet so far.

How utterly sweet are those wee fairies??? I have to make two fairy outfits for our upcoming Faerie Festival that I'm taking my littlies to so if you have any tips, all advice welcome! Well done your girl on her production and haircut! My lilac tree is blossoming right now but someone told me it was bad luck to bring the blooms indoors. I'm not that superstitious anyway. Have a great week, my friend. Really lovely to read your post.xx

May, down here has been gloriously hued and sunny, thank you. =) Love all those blossom trees. How sweet your little pitcher filled with Lilacs must smell. Look at all those stars of the show. Don't they look fabulous in their costumes. May you have a pansy-filled, beautiful Spring day, dear Pom Pom♥

All the little performers are so sweet! And the lilacs look beautiful. Wish I had some handy. I wanted to smell them, as I looked at your photograph. All the best to you, dear friend, in the merry, merry month of May!

We had a huge lilac bush at the farm where we used to live. It was right next to the road and lots folks helped themselves. It used to annoy me, but just recently I entertained the thought of doing the same myself! Actually, it's owned by a friend of my daughter's, so I could just ask, lol. The costumes for your play are amazing! Glad it went so well. Enjoy your gardening! We're still waiting for some leaves to appear!

How lucky you are to attend the grandkids' performance. I used to love to go to see my grandkids perform. The costumes are amazing.

Your blossoms are more advanced than ours. I can't wait for my crabapple, my lilac, and my Azelias to blossom. It's such a spectacular sight and the fragrance is intoxicating.

Take care and have a great week.
Hugs, Julia

lovely girls, costumes look fun. Pretty lilac, should attract lots of butterflies too. Maybe you could cultivate a cutting from your neighbour.

Love your flowers, how nice that you get to enjoy the neighbouring bloom, it looks very pretty. The costumes and enthusiastic energy felt in just looking at your photos is brilliant. I can only imaging the performance was a huge success, especially judging by the happy faces. Cathy x

Seems like you are always surrounded by the cutest girls. Aren't granddaughters sweet! Such beautiful lilac blossoms. My little lilac bush is living, thankfully, but had only a few tiny blooms. :( The pansies are so pretty.

Hello dear Pom Pom. So happy the play was a hit. Love all those costumes. Congrats to your daughter.
May has been very busy around here on all fronts! So much yard work to do. Our little grandson had a time of it, too the end of April so we are all breathing a sigh of relief now. Hope your week is going well!

Oh what a lovely show it was! And one of my favorite stories. Finally blooming here and greening up. May is my most favorite month for a good reason. :) Kit

Persuasion is my favorite of Jane Austen's tales, followed by Pride and Prejudice. I hope that you and the book club found it pleasurable to discuss. The last time my book club discussed Jane Austen's work, it turned into a conversation about who we would rather marry: Captain Wentworth, Mr. Tilney, Mr. Darcy, or Mr. Bingley. Perhaps not surprisingly, no one picked Mr. Collins! heehee

Your granddaughters are growing up SO fast! Those outfits are cute. They'll remember that event for many years.
Persuasion is my favorite Austen, I think. And the book is far superior to the movie, which is pretty good too. The book explained so many finer points that the movie simply couldn't. It seems to me to be Austen's most mature story, as far as how she presents culture and how to cope with a failing family. Glad you enjoyed it with friends!
