Gnomes and Camels

Just riding on camels . . . 😄 Kelli's girls had fun trying their horsemanship skills on camels.  Kelli thinks that when Millie laid back, she invited a tick to crawl on her.  They found it later and THANK YOU GOD that it didn't bite her.  Shiver.

A fairy set up shop in the battered Wendy house.
Last year I planted a bag of wildflower seeds and this year they came up again.  I love the poppies.

As you can see there are a few weeds around the bird bath.  Weeding.  Pfffft.

Weight Watchers is going just fine and I KNOW I need a program to adhere to, but it feels silly counting out 55 Goldfish crackers for 4 points.  Hmmmmm.
Baaaaa!  I love wool and I especially love the wool that comes from Nebraska.  Brown Sheep.  Favorite.
I FINALLY finished the gnome make overs.  I sprayed polyurethane on each one and then I had fun hiding them around the garden.

Jenny's family is camping in Moab, Utah.  SO PRETTY!

We don't know the people on the left!  Ha!
Here's another knitting project - a hat for an Australian friend.
Please pick a mug (beaker) and I will brew you a cup of coffee or tea.

I hope your June is going well, that you have some people to attend to, and that your time alone is rich and meaningful.  Lately, I've been going slow when I read God's Word.  I've also been enjoying Ann Voskamp's 1000 Gifts Devotional.  You read a little and then you write.  I love that kind of stuff.

I think a thunderstorm is coming.  It's gray and windy outside.  Thank you for popping by. I am thankful that you call in.

Your restored gnomes look so handsome! Their red caps are dashing :) I love that yarn too. I do wish I could stop for a beaker of something relaxing! I need a relaxing June. Today's temp was 96 and the heat index was (they say) about 106. UGH! Staying inside, but somehow that's feeling boring to me. I always enjoy your bunting and think, "I need to make some of that!" Maybe this is the time.

Riding camels, how fun, though one has to be careful of ticks as they are frightful nasties. It is always a lovely surprise to see a gnome hiding amongst the blossoms. I would love to sit in your garden and enjoy a coffee with you in one of those pretty mugs. You do have a few, don't you.

Yes please dear Pom Pom - I would like my tea in the cup with the red hearts on please! Your painted garden ornaments look wonderful. I rode Camels once in Australia ... they are ungainly things & felt hard to stay on.

The camel ride sounds like fun. I'm glad the tick was found pronto. How fun to eat fish crackers but having to count them, that's pushing it. lol.

I love that sleeping garden gnome. You did a good job on them and the flowers seem to be happy having them in the garden. They brighten up the place.

Have a great week. hugs, Julia

How cool to ride a camel!
Oh weeding, I very tired of that chore.
I've been known to count out 55 goldfish too. : )
Wonderful yarn colors!!
The mug I picked out was the one with the red hears.
We've had a few thunderstorms pass through here as well.
Thanks for the kind and encouraging words about the house sale. : )

So glad you found that tick and killed it! Yikes!
Love your restored gnomes. You are inspiring me. Too bad I couldn't just come over and use your paint. :)
Good for you for sticking to your points! We are hot today in the Seattle area! Hope the rest of your week is peachy!

I love catching up with all you and your family's doings. Why did you have a camel? Have I missed a post somewhere when you mention camels?
Moab is a lovely place. Some years ago we camped there in our travel van. We sure enjoyed that.

I had to smile when I saw your mug cabinet. We have a lot of mugs too. I don't know what it is with mugs but I like buying them for some odd reason. I love all the bunting and banners strung in your yard.

Oh how much fun was that!? Camel rides! I remember my girls going for an elephant ride in Oregon once and they still talk about it. Look at all those lovely mugs. Wish I could sit and chat with you. :) Kit

I'm afraid my mentality is, if I can't eat a hundred fishy crackers, why bother? I admire your diligence!!!

What a thrill it must be to ride a camel. Those girls will certainly have something fun to tell in September when their teacher says, what did you do this summer? I have been going to Weight Watchers since the 1st of March and I've lost 31 pounds :) Yesterday I decided to reward myself with a big two scoop rich and creamy ice cream cone. Later I figured the points to be 33 . . . oh my goodness! If I had known before hand I wouldn't have eaten it, but I did and I enjoyed every bite. Now I'll have to wait until maybe the end of September before doing that again, LOL. Weight Watchers is a very good program. Here's wishing you a great week and a loss on meeting night.

Karen, oh how I'd love to ride a camel (minus ticks, of course! Glad Weight Watchers is going well. Have you thought about combining it with 16/8 Intermittent Fasting. It IS amazing and works with any kind of diet. My 16/8 is Fast 6PM to 10AM and Eat during the 10AM to 6PM window. I did it for its many health benefits, but ended up losing 10 pounds without even cutting calories or carbs or anything.

I'll have my tea in the sunflower cup please :) how horrible to get that close to a tick, glad nobody was bitten. The gnomes look shiny and new. I have no ghomes but a toad is living in my flower tub so tonight I am going to give it a bowl of water and hide it under the bushes as I think it needs a mini pond. A lot of people in the UK are raving about Slimming World diets, have you heard of them? some girls at work have slimmed down and their meals look big and healthy. Jean in delightful repast (comment above) seems to have found a healthy eating plan too. Nobody wants to feel deprived or have to count things so I hope it works out for you.

I am glad W.W. is going great. That is wonderful news. So glad no one got a tick. I hate ticks! Neat camel though.
I love seeing what you have been doing. Busy around here as well. I am having a Bible Study at my house this summer. It sure has kept me busy. I will bet back to blogging soon.
How nice to have weather. I would love to have weather. Your Gnomes look wonderful and so does your garden. Blessings to you.

Did you get hail this week> We did. Not a lot of damage, though. Camels--and where do you find a camel in Colorado? WW does work. Keep counting and tracking! And yes we should meet sometime before summer's end. Maybe even the Botanical Gardens again. I'm up for a trip.

We have so many ticks around here. My little grands love to run into the house with one pinched between thumb and forefinger, "I found a tick!" Then they'll run and flush it down the toilet. Grandma just grabs it and rips its little head off! :)
I love red poppies, too. They are the definition of RED. :)
"Weeding. PFFFT!" Ha ha ha!
I'd love to ride a camel and I'd love a cup of coffee in the sunflower cup, please! :)
God bless your summer!

Your gnome looks so cute and I love that blue birdbath. We are on the look out for a hummingbird solar bird bath. You sure keep active! Nancy

I'm not sure I could get up on a camel -- and it's a long ways down if you fall off! Loved all the pretties here -- your yarn and the birdbath, everything!

Oh camels are so comical (when they don't bite!)
Your garden looks lovely with all the ornaments!

Whew! Camel ride! I've never done that.

Your Wendy house looks so cute and so do the flowers. I just love summer flowers because it always feels like such a short time for flower growing. Gotta have flowers! Your gnomes look so nice amongst the gardens.

I enjoy God's Word slow and steady. I like to write scriptures down as I go along. I like to pray scripture for my loved ones too.

God bless you!

Ticks are a worry here too - I haven't been out in the woods this year, but when I go, I wear long trousers. Nasty wee bitey things!

Your garden looks lovely. Remember: weeds are just wild flowers in tyhe wrong place. Maybe you could just learn to love them!!
