September Start Up

I found a new yarn  dyer while watching a video podcast.  Don't you love ordering things from real people?  I've already wound this lovely skein into a ball and I'm thinking about making a shawl with it.  I'm amazed at the skills that so many fiber artists are able to acquire.

Plum was doing a little gardening last week.  She planted the nasturtiums, so she was very happy to see them blooming!

Tim on one of his thrones
Mary Poppins is good knitting music😍

 He's awake!
Kelli and Bryan are digging a swimming pool!  (Well, the swimming pool installers are)  I can't wait to float around on my noodle.  I hope it's finished in time for a nice Indian summer!
We went over to see the big hole and James and Noah wanted to see the cats.  James asked me, "Why did you want me to see the big hole?"
The girls were enjoying the company.

 Winnie the puppy is growing!
James in the pink carseat.  He didn't mind.

Here's some of my knitting mess and some new Colorado dyed yarn!

Lizzy and I went to the yarn store and she wanted to pretend that she worked there so she kept saying, "You go look and I'll be nearby.  You tell me if you need my help finding what you want."  😂

I've made friends with my food processor.  James wanted to try all the blades as we shredded and sliced the mammoth zucchinis.  No more zucs next year.  None.  Please remind me.

Thank you for sharing about what you have too much of.  It sounds as if we have a lot in common.  I have a big bag of stuff to give to the Goodwill, but two of the donation drop off places have closed.  I must venture further afield with my loads of "too much".
Are you going to make a nature journal?  We decided to start on the first day of fall, but you can begin whenever you wish!  Please share!  I accidentally drank real coffee instead of decaf at around 4:00.  I might not sleep well tonight, but I still feel as though I am falling asleep in my soup.
Thank you for checking in.  I hope your September has started well. We have three birthdays later in the month.  First Noah, then Lizzy and ME!
CAKE!

The grands are so cute and don't they say the darnest things. Hope they get the pool in before it gets to cold to go in.

Timmy is such a sweet cat and his markings are so pretty.
Like the color of the yarn.

Have a great week.

I like all your photos but the one that put a big smile on my face is that of Plum doing some gardening. It's just so darn cute. I like your Marino wool. so soft.

Take care and have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
Julia

I will remind you next year. Just like I won't be planting cucumbers. :)
I love your wool and I love seeing all of the kids. It sounds very nice.
I know you will love that swimming pool when it is finished.
How fun.

Have a lovely day, how was that tea? I have always wondered about that ever since I read about that tea plantation. Have a lovely day.

Love your photos. Kids make me smile...my own used to make pull my hair at times. LOL. Well being a mommy you know. Your little gardener is a beauty. I wish I could knit. Show us your things you make. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Lovely to see that 'umbrella' wool winder. My grandma had a similar one and we used to love helping her.

A lot happening in your September already! Love that sweet pink and cream sweater? Hope you get to float in that pool soon, too. So...my daughter in law made some delicious baked zucchini sticks (fries) that were delicious. I need to try to make them and post a recipe on Mennonite Girls Can Cook. Enjoy the rest of the week dear Pom Pom!

Ooo - happy early birthday to you! I love that gorgeous yarn. I still find my best kookie yarn at the local thrift :) I'm absolutely loving my nature autumnal journal. It's just what the doctor ordered.

I love the look of concentration on sweet Plum's face as she gazes at her gardening gloves. At least I think that's what she's looking at.

How can you bear to wait until Sept. 22 to start your Fall Journal!!!

Pretty yarns! The Big Hole Swimming pool will be amazing! I do hope you get a few swims in before fall. I'm holding on to summer as long as it will allow.

I love real coffee, but I try to drink my afternoon cup around 3-ish. Then I don't have troubles with sleep at night. God bless you, Friend!

An adorable sweater and pretty yarn, too! You must be in a much warmer climate than I am! We're putting the pool noodles away (actually, in my case, lake noodles!) and the trees are turning!

I love all the knitting and fall-ish activities. I hope you get to swim in that pool before it cools off too much. :)
I haven't started a fall journal, but I may make a couple of little books to keep word lists in. I'm now doing THREE languages on Duolingo, and writing down lists would help a lot. It's a good excuse to make some cute little journals.
Blessings on all of you! :)
