Finish, Flowers, and Nature Journals

Here I have my Finish for the Weekend - our bedroom and bathroom!  Even though I did not do the transformative work, I did the under pinning and the reshuffle.  So, it's a finish.  Actually, I have a lot of closet organizing yet to do and some furniture painting/picture hanging.  I'm so impressed that it is all complete!  Two weeks!  Woo hoo!

My stay at Kelli's house was nice.  The pets are needy, but the girls were perfect angels.  I had a hard time sleeping, but what's new?

This precious prince was VERY happy when the renovations were complete and he is now intent on long lap naps, keeping his humans in their proper places.

I made some quick chicken noodle soup for dinner last night.  Perfect.
All of you smarty pants gardeners were so right about the bird bath.  I filled it with rocks for perching.

I thought my family would make fun of me for hanging coffee cups out on the patio, but so far not one visitor has asked me about it.  Ha!
Now that life is calming down again, I hope to return to natural rhythms and take a few walks around the neighborhood.  Today I simply walked around the back yard.  Here are my nature journal offerings for today.

I know dear Timmy is so happy to have you home. Beau will sit on me for a few hours when I've been gone a long time, as if to weigh me down and keep me from leaving again :) He also smells my breath to be totally sure it's really ME. Your journal looks very nice, and it reminded me that I need to get over and fill out my page for today, divided into quarters. I did a little painting already, but no writing. I'm enjoying it so much. And your mugs hanging up are purely decorative. What's not to love about that?

There is not much that is more satisfying than finishing a project---unless it is the sweet kisses from little ones.

Those are great pictures of your yard, too....and I LOVE your journal. It's really beautiful!

Hope you have a great weekend. If you didn't get a chance yet-pop by my new blog and sign up for the giveaway. xo Diana

I am so thankful this is how God worked things out! Course it means I have 20 hours less time each week. yikes! But still so thankful it's here at home with art and beauty!!!

thank you so much for putting me on your nature journal, I had some lovely blog visitors, but feel I have not contributed enough - I am still adding bits to my painting when I get an opportunity and will be out in the woods over the weekend so will do a update. Your bathroom is fabulous and your bedroom picture looks super cosy.

But of course mugs are hung on the porch...where else? -laughing- Karen, your bird bath reminds me to put up the one I've had for donkey's years. The quilt on the iron frame bed is cozily inviting, I could nap there!

Lots of lovely photos, I love the bed quilt. The bathroom looks nice and shiny, very smart. Love the journal, I'm leaving you a link for some Christian colouring books with scriptures that may interest you. I'm not affiliated to them in anyway. The books on the link are beautiful, a good friend of mine bought me the Grace one. Cathy x http://www.jacqui-grace.co.uk/colouring-books

How will your lovely mugs do when it gets frosty? Will they crack? I do hope not- do you stroll out with a steaming pot of chocolate and just reach up for your cup? That sounds paradisiacal! I first read Finish as Finnish and admired the Scandinavian feel of your bedroom suite!!

Lots of pretty blooms and great idea about adding the rocks to the birdbath.

I love your fall flowers! I'm really glad I don't have a cat to keep me in a cozy place the way your guy does, or I would get behinder and behinder!

Zinnias and nasturtiums! I love them so! And your coffee mugs! So fun! You have given me an idea to tie them in our maple tree next summer! I hope I will remember!
