I'm still messing about with lots of bulky wool, making a short sleeve crazy creation. Will I wear it? Huh. Well, I do understand why people lean toward grays and tans when they add to their wardrobe. I'm not sure I want to be quite so conspicuous.
We were at Home Depot with James and I spied a fire. So, if I can't have a real fire (Bill hates all the fuss) I have a fake one now. It works! It'll do!
This cute lazy bones is constantly on the lookout for sunbeams. Smart.
We went to Oregon for a few days and Tim stayed behind. We bought him a fancy fountain so he wouldn't thirst to death in our absence.
It was a gorgeous flight going up and coming back!
Our friends in Oregon have a big mossy tree on their property.
And a beautiful old house.
Of course they are outdoor enthusiasts and have a canoe hanging in their garage.
They lived in Sweden for a while. I love this sign that hangs near their back door.
Now that we're home to stay for a while I can put together my Whoville tree. I didn't want Timothy to chew on it while we were away.
More later . . . just wanted to say a quick hello!

Pretty Swedish welcome sign. Glad you had a fun few days with friends. I guess, like me, you are starting to prepare for the holidays now. Look at that Timothy soaking up the sun-puddle.Here they worship them, too. :) Have a nice week, Deb
looks like you had a nice getaway and glad timothy managed. :)
Interesting water contraption. Glad you had a good trip.
I love the sound of a "Whoville" tree. I can't wait to see this delectable creation you come up with! Oodles of colours does it for me, but I know what you mean about those neutrals. I suppose sometimes one needs to blend in. =) So glad you won't be freezing cold now. How lovely to escape to your friend's beautiful old house. LOVE that tree!
....ooops....forgot to say, love your new header. Oh how I would love to be fly high above peoples' rooftops with my carpet bag filled with magical goodies!
A quick hello to you too ~ luv ya!
I am so glad you are home. What a nice trip. I wondered if you were gone someplace. You have been so quiet. I love your new fireplace.
I wish it got cold enough to have one like that in my sewing/office.
I would just sit and stare at it. I bet Timothy missed you. I have missed you!
Glad you are home and that you had a nice trip.
Do you know: I am so social media ruined that I actually moved the mouse down to the bottom left of your fire photo to click "Like". That's ridiculous! (My brain drain- not your fire. Which is gorgeous, obviously.) Whoville tree- looking forward to it x
I am thrilled to see a post fro you, sweetie. I love that house and sign and the old tree there. What a fun visit that must have been.
Your little 'fire' is perfect. If I can't have a real one I want a fake one, too. lol Love it. Hope you have a great week. xo Diana
Hi Pom Pom Love the new fire. It is certainly looking autumny in your photos. Hello to Timothy ... what a wonderful life chasing sunbeams x x
An electric fire is better than no fire!
Glad you are home, and I look forward to the Whoville tree.
I'm thinking outside the Christmas tree box too. We'll see if it materializes! (HUGS) ~Jody
Oh, I'm glad you're back home again. Your electric fire looks cozy. Does it give off quite a bit of heat?
The cloud photos are amazing! And I love that mossy tree.
So nice to see you! Your trip sounded so nice and I loved the clouds from the view of the plane.
Your sweater is fun and full of color, I'd wear it. :-)
I love your new header!
Have a terrific week, sweet lady~~
those water fountains are great. Have missed your cheery posts. Your fire is lovely, our oil radiator in the conservatory just broke down and we are looking at suitable alternatives - something with a flame (real or not) is such a nice cosy focus (hygge?) Betty x
Nice sign, nice getaway. I have an electric fireplace for Poppet, my '65 Scotty canned ham camper.
I love all your photos especially the cloud ones. How wonderful you had a visit with some friends. I am sure Timothy missed you!
how fun!!! that tree and house is lovely!!! cute refill bowl for the young Tim! :) Nice to read for you! Sweden is a lovely country! lived there in the first half of my 20th year, almost 20 years ago!!! :)
How lovely to spend relaxing time with your friends! Timothy looks like he didn't miss you at all, having fun with the fountain, lol! And I love your fire, just lovely! Enjoy all the fun colors you are knitting with :)
Sounds like a very nice little holiday.
Glad you enjoyed it and welcome home. : )
Hello! I have been out of pocket the last couple of weeks -- Hubs cataract surgery, a sick Bean and the time change have sort of complicated things. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon! Love you photos!
Karen, Timothy is adorable, especially with the sunbeams! Love your photos.
I love your fake fire!!! did you know there is a candle app you can have on your phone?!! It works in a pinch when you want candle atmosphere -- ha ha ha!! It even flickers properly. :) Just remembering that it was nearly a year ago that Mr. Badger arrived! Wow that was so fun.
Welcome back! Ah, Oregon, my 2nd favorite place on earth. :) We once had a fake fire when we lived in Colorado. It was great! Gave me all the atmosphere I needed. I have since passed it on to my kids. :) Enjoy your Whoville tree! Kit
Looks like a great trip!
Looks like we missed our visit before the snow came. I always enjoy your yarn photos and I am giggling with Timmy.
When we moved from our old log cabin into our manufactured home we missed our woodstove so much. The new house had a "fireplace", but we learned that for insurance reasons we couldn't use it. So, we got a fake fireplace similar to yours. My hubby enjoyed it and it helped with some of the ennui caused from moving.
It looks like a beautiful trip to Oregon!
I look forward to seeing the Whoville tree!
Oooh - I wonder how Timothy will do with your Christmas tree. I have fun pictures and memories of our dear cat Gus playing with the lights on the floor as we were stretching them out before decking the tree. This year it will be a toddler we have to instruct on proper Christmas tree respect.
Hello! A quick one from me. I am busy this month participating in NaNoWriMo, writing a young adult novel. So... hopefully I will be around more in December. In the meantime, loved your quick catch-up. You can at least wear your crazy sweater at home to keep cozy!
