Back from Washington

I'm back!  We flew right by Mt. Rainier when we arrived in Washington.
Geraniums thrive in the moist air! I don't.  I am not used to humidity anymore.  Wilt!
I saw my auntie's new island home.  Isn't the view GORGEOUS?
Auntie made a pretty salad for my sister, sister-in-law, mama, and me!

Auntie on the left - Mama on the right!  LOVE!
This is my brother and sister-in-law's lovely spot!  Wouldn't you love to have this garden shed?

And back to my mom's new house which I neglected to capture on film (sad face).  Her new home is light and bright! She is the perfect hostess and I was so engrossed in the company, I forgot to dig my camera out of my bag!  Next time! Her flowers and grounds are very pretty!
My sister came and stayed with us and Kelli was there for the first three days (VERY fun!)  I saw my brothers (love) and my sisters-in-law (more love).  Family is so good, so real, so faithful.  The time flew by and now I'm snuggled in at home.
School starts Monday and for the first time in decades, nobody in our immediate family is going to school (Kelli and April homeschool and Christie will be home with James).  So carry on, summer!

I'm getting my hair (pony tail) cut off today.  I'm tired of it and I may be sorry, but I'm going to let the hairdresser work his magic on this granny.  If it looks okay, I'll show you a picture.

Thank you for popping in and viewing my photos.  You're very nice that way (and lots of other ways, too!)

It's so nice getting away from the daily grind and seeing family. Your mom and auntie looks like such nice lady.
It good to be home too...

Hair grows so fast that even if you don't like it, it'll grow back in no time.

Have a great weekend.

Hugs,
JB

What a delightful post! I love that yellow house. I grew up in a yellow house; we also had a yellow barn and other outbuildings. I got teased at school ( friendly teasing) that I had hair the same colour as my house!! Maybe that's why I like yellow houses ( altho' I live in a pale green one??)
Anxious to know how you like your new "do" bc I have a pony tail I sometimes consider cutting off ).

Wow how pretty. Every thing is and I love those red kitchen cabinets. What a homey kitchen.
I didn't know that every one wasn't going back to school. That is awesome!! That makes me so excited for your family.
I love the views. I forgot how Washington looked.

So brave cutting off your ponytail! My braid is getting so long I'm thinking of a trim. I've gone quite short a few times, but always grow it back.
Yay, let summer continue! School's out!
Beautiful photos of snug homes!
Glad you're back! :)

I love love all the pics! I think my favorite is the kitchen with the nectarine with the bite out of it. :) Makes it look so homey. Your Aunt and Mom? Simply gorgeous! And yes we want to see a pic of you with your new do. :) Kit

What nice photos of your trip -- everything looks so peaceful and clean. You always speak of the love and joy you have when you see your family -- what a blessing! In many extended families (mine included) there is much love, but also no little conflict and stress when large numbers of us get together. It's so rare to have a truly peaceful family. The ladies in your family are such silver-haired beauties! Wow! You have very pretty hair. I bet it'll look great after your cut. Enjoy sliding effortlessly into ... what did you call it last? ... "the coming season of COZY" :)

Wow, what beauty! I have never visited that part of our fine country but you make me want to. All those flowers! And I love the splashes of red (doors, cabinets and so on) so your love of that cheery color comes natural, doesn't it? Glad you are home safe and sound. Blessings.

Wow PomPom, looks like you had an amazing time with your family. I love the garden shed, the kitchen cabinet, the flowers, the scrumptious salad looked divine. Yum!
And that photo of Mt Rainer, is so epic.
Note to ourselves, it's okay to forget to take photos, its the making of memories that matters. It's going to be forever in our hearts. Hope your haircut will go well

Hugs,
Aida

So glad that you had a wonderful time. Washington looks beautiful. You needed to do a selfie with you, your mom, and auntie. Now I know where younger your perfect white hair. And hair grows. Welcome back. Nice not to have to worry about school, isn't it?
