Yes, one must fly into the Sea-Tac airport in order to get to my homeland. The Skagit Valley is SO green and pretty, isn't it?
I drew my girl Kelli, me, my mom, and my sweet sis on the letter I sent to my mother. I still had my ponytail.
More high country beauty from last week's adventures!
Oh! There's James! He's smiling at you!
The sunflowers around our house are really showing off this year. I'm so glad!
When we came outside after dinner the other night, we saw this!
I actually finished Sam's requested knitting project! (applause!) It turned out so much cuter than I thought it would!
And last some jewel-like crab apples that grow in our neighborhood.
Have I mentioned how joyful I am am that I can be home all day, every day? Bliss!

Love your knitted kitty... he (she?) is adorable! I haven't made pickles in years and years...
I like your family sketch. Little James looks so cuddly, he's special. You have some beautiful landscape in your part of the world. It's great that you are enjoying being home, I am enjoying reading about all the things you are doing. Betty
Such a full, happy post! I love all the pics and hearing about your busy-ness. You did a great job with your drawing. I'd love to see more!
Kelli takes after her mama with her cute drawings! I wish I could hold baby James. I can't remember the last time I held a baby. It's been a while.
I am enjoying your joy! Retirement surely is pure bliss.
I am SO joyful for you, friend! :) Isn't it satisfying to make pickles and jam? They are quick and easy; require no pressure cooking and look lovely in a shiny row on the shelves. Makes you feel like a pioneer! I have a brother who lives in Seattle!
Love the drawing of your family, James's smile and that fabulous knitted kitty!!
I may just have to draw that sunflower!
Keep on enjoying your blessings...and sharing them with us! :)
Glad you are enjoying that new freedom. You've worked hard for it so it's fitting I think. What fun photos. I can almost taste those pucker-y pickles.

Such a lovely place! Your project is wonderful! So colorful. :) Kit
Being at home IS bliss, I agree. So comforting. So much to be thankful for. I do think joy is a choice, generally, a choice to be thankful and look for the good in life, instead of always seeing the bad. I love your drawings, Pom. They're adorable. And Sweet Baby James is adorable too -- what happy smiles!! Congrats on the cute knitting and the pickles.
That cat is SO cute!!!! you did such a nice job!
