Emily P. Freeman (Chatting at the Sky) shared about this app. It's called Waterlogue and it turns your photos into watercolors. Fun, huh?
It was VERY cold yesterday, but our Jenny had registered for a half marathon so off she ran. I'm so proud of her! She finished 11th in her division and 99th overall. She's a frisky little mama!
Bill is not going to So. Africa after all. He'll just do the London leg of the plan. Aw. I wish I could go to London to visit my friends but I have the state testing at school and I must deem that very important.
I have a short week of teaching in front of me (parent/teacher conferences and a day off on Friday). It's not a typical Monday.
Ash Wednesday is coming right up. Any thoughts?

Good morning. How dreadful, state testing. Water coloring photos sounds like so much more fun. I'd be sad too if my husband were going to London, while I had to work. Have a grand week. You have the hardest job, but the best job and you will be cheerful and your little 6th graders will be happier.
I'm going to check out that app right now. Love the effect! Xx
I love that app. That would be so fun to do that and then frame them.
I would want to go to London too.
It sounds like you have a very busy week. So glad your Jenny did so well in the very cold weather. It always hurts my lungs to run in cold weather.
So glad you have a Friday off.
That app looks great!
Shame you couldn't make it to the UK, we could have had a big bloggers party! xxx
PS. Well done to your girl! :) xxx
Yes, it was almost minus fifty overnight with the windchill, so I hear you about the cold...!! At least there is a warm and cozy fire in our home. :)
Wouldn't that be a treat to head to London? But yes, I suppose those exams are important when you're a schoolteacher.
Ash Wednesday - do you know I don't even really know what that is. Is that awful? I will look it up, I do know it's about Easter & such what...but I can say we have never observed it.
i see bloggers using that app a lot. it is really pretty.
Kudos to Jenny, very impressive both that she ran and finished.
love these watercolor..fauxs too POM
very fun..
hugs,Patty
Way to go Jenny, that takes a lot of dedication. Love the WC app...I'll look for it...WC is my favorite painting medium. Been a long time since I painted, and the photo app may get me back in the WC Mode. Hang in there...Spring Break is just around the corner.
I'm planning for Lent right now and will probably blog about it soon. I'm going to the Ash Wednesday services at noon on Wednesday on the church up the street. Am still thinking about what to fast from. I may limit my Internet time so I have more time to read, journal and pray. I'll let you know!

Love the idea of turning a photo into a watercolor painting!
Rah Rah Jenny! She's a tough cookie.
London would be a fun visit, wouldn't it? I wonder if it's very chilly or rainy there just now? Maybe you can go in spring or summer.
I love that watercolor option. I'm gonna go check out my picmonkey and see if it does the same thing :) I know next to nothing about Ash Wednesday, and only saw people with gray foreheads for the first time a few years ago -- I grew up in Mississippi with very few Catholics and few people from high liturgy churches, thus my ignorance. A friend asked about it just this afternoon b/c she also knew nothing of it. The beginning of Lent, of the Easter season, and of all our hope :)
Speaking of Picmonkey, I'm having trouble with the new version.
Proud of Jenny! I used to do 5k's, but it's been a few years.
Sorry you can't go to London! But it looks like summer is getting closer if you're doing state testing?
I'm buying gardening stuff. The lady at the Fleet Supply store gave me a funny look, lol!
I like the effect of that app. Very pretty. Go Jenny Go!
