Girls Climbing High

There is snow on the ground this morning, so my Wendy house plans seem very unrealistic.  That's okay!  I'll play in the Wendy house during my spring break in April.

The seed display is in place at the grocery store.  I bought pepper seeds and sweet pea seeds.  To get the very best sweet pea crop here in the high country, I plant around President's Day.  I'll wait until the snow goes.  Sigh.

Eggs cups at the grocery store.  I have no use for egg cups.  I peel my hard-boiled eggs and eat them quickly.  Egg cups are lovely though, don't you think?

Here are the girls climbing high! It was warmer yesterday, even though the wind was howling, so we drove down to the elementary school to ride bikes.  The bikes were cast aside in favor of the climbing equipment.  My sweet neighbor Reve's grands were there, too!  Yay!  That's darling Emma having fun with Bird and Bug!

The nice man who keeps his horses at Kelli's barn helped Miss Bug ride.  Aw!
I love the grocery store when it decks itself out for Easter.  Three bunches for ten dollars!  Yay!

A Cream of Rice morning it is!  I'm going to go upstairs and iron.  My toes are cold.
I wish you a few blue-sky days this week.  Me, too!

I would love to be planting seeds.

I like your flowers and your plans with the seeds too. I have seeds. Today I got a branch that was wind damaged that had all these little white blossoms, black thorn perhaps - too pretty to leave so I brought it home, I have something it will be just right for. Betty x

I'm beginning to think about the gardens, but planting for us is at least two months away. I love your spring flowers. I haven't had Cream of Wheat in years... I'll have to pick some up next shopping trip. Have a great week!

We're s'posed to get a winter storm starting tonight. I hope it's a mild one. More cold too.

I'm thinking of garden seeds right now too. I'm going to buy some kale seeds and plant them. It grows easily and I'm learning to really like kale in pork dishes and sauteed in butter with S&P. I ought to plant some sweet peas too and think of YOU, sweet pea.

Cute girlies.

I've never had cream of rice. I'm not sure I've ever heard of it. Cream of Wheat I've heard of. Rice pudding. But not cream of rice :) Your bright blue skies are vivid and cheerful. I hope you can plant your seeds soon!

Oh all your photos are so bright and fun. You know those egg cups would look great with Easter eggs in them. :) Love the flowers! Oh, if you want to know more about my calendar, email me on my blog. Kit

I didn't even know that people still USED egg cups, but they are pretty.
I had Malt-o-Meal this morning. SO good!
I'm glad to see that your grands get to ride horses. It's such a memorable part of childhood.
I love your plastic veggies and fruits. Have fun planning for spring and summer! :)

Hi Karen :)
I'm smiling at seeing your blog background, as I wanted to dress up like Mary Poppins for Carnival, but then went for a featureless black cape..
Have a lovely day and thank you for visiting!

I am always amazed when I read that you have had snow and then see photos of your grands in sweaters and bare legs. Your winter is so very different from ours. We have a very damp cold, so no matter that it is negative whatever degree Celsius or just hovering around 0 Celsius, it is still bone chilling cold.

I love the egg cups and the photos of the girls having fun at the park. Maybe we'll have a mild March Break. It's coming soon! :o)

Can I come and play in the Wendy house too, please? I'm awfully well-behaved! The egg cups are truly pretty! I also have no use for them. Mmmmm, seeds! I want to grow water press, rocket, tomatoes, and cucumbers this year!! X

Oh I am so drawn to egg cups!!! Very hard to resist. Actually, I don't think I even own any yet -- probably because I haven't seen them at a thrift store in my price range!! But have you seen the adorable mini egg cozies one can make to put on top of them?! Oh I dream of making these every Easter but as of yet have not!!!

I ordered my seeds last week and they have arrived, though right now the only ones ready for the cold garden soil are the peas and the sugar snaps. I love love sweet peas, but they don't have much of a chance in our warm climes. I hope you grow a bunch!
