Brightness

I wore flip flops to our school work day.  It's a tad early for flip flops.  Temperatures are expected to rise to the 60's today and the days are longer.  Garden dreaming is a lovely sensation.  This year our garden is going to be "everything bright" like the zinnias below.

I ordered some polka dot tin dishes for the Wendy house.  I ordered a little snack set, too.  Bunting is needed and I'm also going to print and laminate some photos of the grands to tack on the walls.  A clothes line?  Yes.  A stone path to walk in the flowerbed?  I think so.  Plum Cake is big enough to busy herself inside the tiny house.  FUN!
The dishes above were a mistake for the Wendy house.  Yes, breakable.  I've rescued a good number of them and they are safe on Granny's shelf now.
I'm reading a sweet book titled, Knitting by Faith written by Julie LeeSong Norman.  I'd like to knit more, but I do enjoy reading about knitting VERY MUCH.  Do you?
Here are my garden store purchases from last year.  I must remember not to buy too much at once.  It keeps the "have to's" at bay and feeds the "want to's".  I hope I'll find LOTS of purple and pink petunias this year.
The parsley is doing something green already and the iris are popping up.  YAY!
We'll have a few more snows, I'm sure.  This growing season I plan to keep a garden journal and a nature journal.  Do you?
Time for breakfast, lunch packing, and driving off to school.  I pray your day would be full of inspiration and grace.
Bless you.

Lots of zinnias. And then more. Isn't this warm weather nice?

Thank you for your prayers. I, too, pray that your day will be significant in your teaching our smaller people.

such lovely bright colors! I had no idea how I missed colors. Every where I look I see colors and your photos make me so happy. How nice to wear flip flops.
I am glad you bought new play things for your Wendy house.
I do hope you have a wonderful day.

Karen, I think similar dishes may be had in Melamine, at least, it seems to me I've seen such, somewhere, sometime.
How's that for nailing it down, eh?
LOL
Lovely post, full of color and made my heart ZiNg!

Flip flops! Wow! I'm still sitting in the house in socks with shoes on. It IS above freezing here today though. If the sun comes out, I will be very tempted to go for a walk. It will be a few days yet before I will see my gardens.

Have a wonderful day!

I wore flip flops yesterday for the first time in many months. They made my toes feel funny. Guess I'm out of practice. ha.

Someone came to church in a sundress the other day - I am still wearing wool socks and fleece sweaters all the time. But I'll be like that until summer, probably!

I see from the time of your post that you are an early riser like me! I get up every day at 4:30 a.m. to be in school in time for high school A hour. I know your garden will look lovely. I miss beautiful Colorado gardens (I grew up in Colorado). Here in Arizona, it seems everything is dead from the heat by June. Oh well. Our winters are lovely. Enjoy the rest of the week!

Lovely springy thoughts here. I have plans for more zinnias this year too. They are such a happy flower.
Your plans for the Wendy house sound wonderful. Hope you'll be sharing the updates.
I always start out good with a garden journal, but by summertime I tend to neglect it. I plant to try harder this season.

Tin plates -- wonderful! I think that's a grand idea, with all the other things you mentioned for the Wendy house. Pictures on the walls! Yes!
Our new house is such a blank slate, hardly anything blooming here at all. Large shrubs. So I'm thinking I'll do lots of bright annuals this year. I need to find out how to make pots work for me, and not dry out in the heat. Spring is coming, Pom!

I love all the cute little Wendy house dishes, but I can see how they might present a problem!

I love looking at your knitting and the thought of it, but I just never get around to learning! I guess we can't do everything!

Glad for your nice weather. I know my two boys are having similar warmth in TX and KY. We'll get there eventually. Right now I'm just thankful to be above zero!

Blessings and hugs!
