A Day in the Country

I had so much fun today with my friend Jennifer, her chickens, her swimming pool, her horse, and then she cooked me a delicious dinner.  We do NOT live close to each other.  She lives in the country.

Look at this fine speckled hen!  Beautiful!

Jen's daughter loves her horse, Kiva.  I love her, too!  Isn't she elegant?  When they got her, she hadn't been ridden for ten years.  Look at how expertly Jen's daughter rides her now!

Here's the delicious dinner.  I loved floating in the pool.  I think we stayed in the water for two hours or so.  It's so quiet in the country.  My face is perfectly sun kissed and I'm "fresh air" tired.  Bliss.

Oh Pom Pom! What a lovely day you had :))) My grandparents were farmer's. So I grew up spending every Sunday on their farm. The country is a special slice of heaven on earth. Thanks for sharing your day with us. I know your friend was blessed to spend it with you. Have a wonderful day today Dear Heart,
Danette

What a fun day in the country. I'm impressed that the horseback rider rides bareback! That takes some skill. Glad you had such a full, sun kissed day.

What a lovely time you had PomPom. It's nice to live in the farm and have all those farm animals. Those eggs must have tasted yummy. I think I know coz we have our own happy hens too.

Thank you for sharing your friends's farm.

Hope you are having more fun before school starts.
